Warmly welcome to the Dragon Year, after many things and many problems passed away from the previous year. Now it’s time to get into the year of 2012, We want all of you to move forward or some people plan to do the new things for the better living. Lomprayah Magazine is pleased to begin the New Year by supporting you as always. This Lomprayah Magazine’s issue pround-ly presents Thailand’s Tourist Direction 2012, has an interview of Ms.Maiyarat Pheerayakoses(The President of the Association of Domestic), she mentioned about the direction of travel and tourism section after flooding last year for suggesting the readers to plan their trip in this year. This issue we added a new article about Hor-oscope of the Prophet “Mr. Rup Krishen Baqaya”, that you can use and prepare your life in advance. This year the organizer of Royal Flora has develop the direction, and easy way to reach the event area by having a shuttle bus to service (you can search for more detail of the price, and direction at www.royalflora2011.com ). Also with more rendezvous and more roads to get into the event to prevent the traffic jam like it used to. For the ticket you can buy at the thaiticketmajor.com or buy through Krungthai bank, including buy the ticket in front of the event is available too.

“Greentitude” is the theme for this year flora event. There are 5 cute mas-cots which represent wind, earth, water, fire, and the same mascot of last flora event the Koon flower that leads other 4 mascots to walk among the people in the event that you can enjoy taking a photo with them.

After walk through the entrance door; the first thing you have to do is take a photo with 5 mascots (which depends on which mascots you will get to take a photo with, because the mascots will randomly come in each day) then you can buy the ticket to 50 seats railway bus; 30 baths for adult, and 20 baths for children. One ticket for railway bus can use all day. In the event is very gigantic place for entrepreneurs to present what they have such as Thai-Denmark farm shows how to milk a cow, herd a sheep,

and how to weave the fleece. CP is also one of the companies that bring so many products to present with the mascot’s dance show to entertain people. What the children love most is Department of groundwater Resources that comes with small underground pipe to show how the underground water works.

Another interesting are is “Youth loves earth” which is near insect muse-um. It will show the importunateness of why we should give extra care for envi-ronment. Inside they will show many ex-citing facts, and there are also activities to do.

“Dasada” is another beautiful area that gathers the entire grade A export flowers from Prajeanburi to show.

Another Hi-light show at Rajapreuk Lake is 5D shows called “the power of Green” that used techniques of lights, sounds, colors, acting including 3D show of fountains, and firework, and of you are looking for a different kind of show you can go to Expo Center 1 building where they have Panoramic Magic Virtual show about the work of Thailand’ king. At the Hor Khum Luang is the exhibition of The king with the activities he’s done with the water.

The place that you shouldn’t miss is Giant Ferris wheel that has 44 meters high. The ticket for adult is 120 baths, and for child that the height is below 150 centimeters is70 baths. You will see the most beautiful view from up there. Af-ter get down from Ferris wheel you can

enjoy the “imagination of light garden” that has many kinds of flowers decorating with lights or take a tour to international garden that so many countries came to arrange the garden such as South Korea rock garden, Bodhi tree from India, and from Bhutan that brought Phra Sri Sakya-muni to uplift the feeling of the garden.

The Royal flora is a enormous event that even the writer couldn’t go to the whole place in one day. I haven’t got a chance to see the Tulips, and The great Lotus including the exhibition of agricul-ture, but I will find a time to make sure that I don’t miss all of that.

In my opinion Chiang Mai people loves to go to Royal Flora event, and for me I have to say that Royal flora is the event that have its own charm and this time it has better organizing, and more beautiful suche as the park zone are more available, and the ticket to the event is more arrange. All the events are deserve to give respect to the King and Queen , and the Prince of Thailand.

The Association of Domestic Travel or ADT happens from 30 entrepreneurs who want to create an association that free from politic, and government to encourage the ideas, and to support other entrepreneurs, so it began the ADT. Ms. Maiyarat is one of the 30 founders which she is also one of the team to or-ganized the election of president of the association that she said it is depend on who will the member will choose. It’s not up to her.

Firstly, the ADT only have 30 members, but the association contin-ually growing until last 8 years there are more than 200 members, and in this present day there are 400 en-trepreneurs that are members of the ADT. Ms. Maiyarat said that in this past 4 years they have to work really hard since there are a lot of troubles in Thailand’s political, and the ADT has been doing there best to help their members to go through all the obsta-cles they might have get from past years political problem that made de-mocracy in Thailand became just an-other stained idea until this year with the mega flood is one of the obstacle that most entrepreneurs have faced. So the ADT will be the place where entrepreneurs can discuss about their problems and a place where they can find help that they need. ADT will also be the representative for them in case they need cooperate from govern-ment in the future. Most entrepreneurs are Tourist Company, and others are resort, Fun Park, OTOP shop, and other Medias too.

Talking about Tourism business in Thailand; we have to go back to last 20 years when the marketing compe-tition is very high, and nowadays is also in very high rated too, but last 20 years the competition in the market could hurt the other competitors, but once the association is come to be the entrepreneurs’ media then the en-trepreneurs don’t turn back on each other and helping each other instead. ADT gather all the entrepreneurs and help them by being the media, and the place for sharing ideas, and meet new experiences in business, so in-stead of competing to each other; now they compete to themselves and make better quality of product, and ADT is only support them when they needed.

Another roll of ADT is resist the government company which only in the case that the company try to com-pete with the private company. The law of Thailand has show very clear that it is against the law of the gov-ernment will open a company to com-pete with private company. We have just see the better result in these last 3 years.

The mega flood that happened has cause grand damage to tourism business in Thailand both entrepre-neurs and tourists are effect by the flood. This coming new year festival you can see that tour group of tourism has decrease for 75 percent because of the flood, so the tourists are not feeling comfortable enough to come to Thailand, so the entrepreneurs are not expect many incomes like other year.

Right now the temperature in Thailand is getting colder. Many areas are welcoming winter, so Thai tourists are feeling ready to go out and visit some interesting places like moun-tains. Most Thai tourists are travel by themselves which are the first group that decided to go out for travel in fa-mous vacation spots like Northern of Thailand, but for Southern of Thailand

there are less tourists, but if you con-sider the whole thing you will see that Thai tourists are decrease and have only 30 percent left since they have to fix the damage that might happen to their houses after the flood.

Chainart, Singburi, Lopburi, Ayuthaya tour that they are cooperate with TAT which will start selling in the begin-ning of 2012.

The tourist company has effect the most from the flood because more than 70 percent of customer that are companies which want to arrange a trip for their employees are cancel. After the flood the budgets that some companies are prepare for entertain their employees has to be cut off, and won’t be back to normal for at least in the next 3 months.

With this situation; ADT had send the letter to deputy prime minis-ter; Mr. Chumpol Silapaarcha to help spreading the budgets to entertain the government’s employees, or ar-range a seminar by arrange tour and buying the tour from the tourist com-pany that has legal license to create the tour group in February-Septem-ber. With this way they believe to help lots of entrepreneurs.

Ms. Maiyarat also believes that tour-ism in Thailand will be better in March-June which is the time of school holi-day, and another indicator for tourism is Thailand tourism Fair that will ar-range in this

coming February.

However entrepreneurs of Thai tourism are thinking that the tourism in Thailand will only recover for 50 percent, but after January 2012 the tourism in Thailand will be the same because of the measure that govern-ment use for healing the damage will starting to see the result. They also have confident that in

the next school summer holiday the tourism in Thailand will be per-fectly 100 percent recover. Also the ADT has create a new package for

For the measure for recover tourism in Thailand after the flood; ADT had discussed with Mr. Chumpol Silapaarcha minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand ministry to come up with the plan to help the entrepreneurs by finding the capital money, and the tax that might have decrease the outcomes. The ministry of Tourism and Sport had reported that from the flood in October to November cause the damage to 175 vacation spots, and cost 560 million bath damage, so the tourists in Thailand this year have only 18.5 persons, but what they expect is 18.9 million persons.

Thailand tourism has tendency and plan to develop the tourism in 2012 by encourage the tourists. The best way is to separate into 2 organizations; first organization is government.
