Structure and Content of the CHIMP

› Reorganisation of collective transports network in order to “irrigate” without “penetrating”

Increase the use of collective transports

Reorganisation of the Leclerc Place by removing the traffic from this place

Reorganisation of car traffic in loops with public car parks

Work plan / Activities to elaborate the CHIMP integrating the LSG

› Technical feasibility and implementation are launched

› Activities with shopkeepers to study the impact of the Reference plan on commercial activity

› Valorization of the culturel heritage:

- each private owner must clean his façade each ten years: it begins with the city hall façade witch is a work in progress

- artistics interventions on public areas

› Achievement by 2012

Obstacles so far preparing / elaborating the CHIMP / integrating the LSG

› Find new commercial activities.

› Explain to the shopkeepers that no car and more pedestrians is good for them.

› Make the drivers understand not to use their car, but collective transport

› Convince the building owners to contribute to the beauty of the city by cleaning and renovating their property,
