UPS received the United Technologies Corporation (UTC) Supplier Gold award for excellence in per­formance in the Logistics and Distribution segment for 2013. With a 99­percent worldwide on­time delivery rate in the past 12 months, UPS achieved exceptional shipping accuracy.

A supplier of high­tech products and services to the global aerospace and commercial building industries, UTC recognizes its exceptional suppliers annually. UPS is the only global transportation and logistics company to receive this highest supplier rating for five consecutive years (2009­2013).

The major factor in this award is UPS’s manage ment of the Georgia Distribution Center for UTC subsidiary Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in the design, manufacture and service of aircraft engines, space propulsion systems and industrial gas turbines.
