Date Summary of my work Worked with

March 16th 2015 I started on two research tasks which were needed to help with target audience as well as opening title sequences. For our target audience, I created an online survey which several people had taken in order to help us with the type of thriller and the type of pace which certain individuals were demanding to see.

March 17th 2015 After the results from the online survey, I created a conclusion to the statistics and then uploaded it to our group blog. I then started the work on our open ing t i t l es s e q u e n c e . W h i c h i n c l u d e d watching certain youtube tutorials on how to create interesting and poignant opening titles.

March 18th 2015 I finished the Opening tit les sequence tutorials which helped us with trying to create a opening credit sequence that could have been similar to that of the film ‘Stoker’. After I finished this, I went straight onto the work on our brainstorm.

March 18th 2015 I s t a r t e d t h e w o r k o n t h e brainstorm to bring about certain individual ideas between the group including Charles, Charlie and Myself. This included certain unused idea such as a “Heist”, and a “Car Crash”. This was a great start to the project as it brought about certain individual ideas that were denied and some that could have been improved.

March 19th 2015 I finished the brainstorm after plenty of individual ideas and concepts which were passed and some which were denied. We came to the conclusion of having a mysterious item being placed in the boot of a car. This also gave a great start to the foundation of the Concept and Treatment which Cha r l i e Howe and Cha r l es Clatworthy had made.

Myself, Charlie and Charles

March 24th 2015 I helped with the refinement of the treatment that Charles Clatworthy had worked on as there several mistaken ideas that we had not agreed upon together. There was also some miscommunications on the locations as well as the concepts so we had to have group meeting which I organised in order to get the problem resolved. With the refinement , much more information was added to detail the content in almost all sections as well as adding more photos to accompany information to give the reader a more descriptive and detailed image of our idea.

Myself and Charles

March 27th 2015 After Charles had finished the Cast and Crew List as well as Charlie finishing the concept. I had brought the information together to post on the blog. As I had created the group blog on wordpress.com, as well as running the group blog during our whole creation of our t h r i l l e r o p e n i n g . S o I w a s completely in charge of running the group blog as I would import every new project that was created.

March 28th 2015 I started the shooting schedule for our Thriller opening before the start of the Term one holiday break. As there would be a two week period in which our filming would take place and we would follow by the filming schedule in order to be organised and to be more efficient.

March 27th 2015 After gaining information about an exemplar shooting schedule from Miss Bell, I choose to refine the shooting schedule which was a great idea. As I put a lot more information in the table to portray a more detailed description of the type of shots as well as the type of characters that were needed for the right times.

April 21th 2015 While Charles and Charlie were still working on their respective tasks towards the pre planning before the actual filming of our thriller opening. I was working on refining our group blog such as making the tittles look more attractive as well as re organising the whole order so that the blog would be more user friendly and more appealing.

May 2nd 2015 Charles, Charlie and I filmed our whole opening sequence in all three locations. We re filmed a number of shots to make sure there was no continuity errors and it was of a high standard. However our microphone cut out halfway through filming leading us to have to refill at a later date

May 3-10th 2015 After the first filming session, there were only some shots which were usable. So I had only been able to edit half of the thriller opening at the time. But I was in charge of editing as all the footage was put on my computer and I edited as much as possible with just half the footage waiting for the second half to be refilled.

May 11th 2015 Charlie, Charles and I re filmed all the shots that were effected by the microphone error and finished off filming the sequence as well as filming some more shots which seemed more interesting.

May 12-24th 2015 I received the rest of the re filmed shots and was able to start the editing of our thriller opening. I was in charge of the editing process, sound design as well as the music in the opening thriller sequence. I continued the editing until the final cut which was the next day.

May 25th 2015 I uploaded the final cut to my Youtube channel for viewing.
