To achieve this greater volume, we had to build a unit that must be assembled inside the console. This is the economy model, the least expensive option for this application. The model 2011X is the same design with more plates. Both the 2011E and the 2011X allow internal and external access to the vehicle’s USB port with the safe locked. This great when vehicle is in for repairs that require USB access or when traveling and someone needs USB access for an iPod or other device, but restricted from accessing a firearm or other valuables.
