Lock Battery Override Instructions The lock has been designed so that an external 9v battery can be placed against the external contacts beneath the handle so that the lock can be opened to replace the batteries should they fail. Insert the included jumper wires into the two small holes in the lid next to the lock. Attach 9v battery to the ends of the wire and push in until the wire touches the lock contacts. When this occurs, the LED’s on top of the lock will flash. Keeping contact with the wires and the lock, enter code and open lock. Battery Replacement Instructions Remove the three philips head screws holding the lock assembly to the lock mounting bracket. Remove the lock assembly and turn upside down to access the batteries. Replace the used batteries with (2) new AAA batteries and re-assemble the lock to the mounting bracket. Remove the (4) nylok nuts holding the lock mounting bracket to the vault.
