Locations for filming different scenes

To make sure we knew the layout, and location of which we may be shooting the gangster hide out scene, I went and took photos of the place from the outside and the inside.

The first image I taken was from the outside, this is an image of the Tees Valley North Scout Centre. Although we may not be using outside for the filming it was still a good idea to know exactly what we have to work with.

This is a photograph of the hallway in the Scouts Centre, again we will not be using this hallway fully within the scene, but there will be a glimpse of the hallway in the background when a character walks in through the door.

The gangster leader’s character will make an entrance through the doors shown above, but the camera will be placed on the other side of the doors.

Following on are photographs of the hall we will be filming in, these are mainly to show the space we have to work with. To make sure we follow the conventions of noir we will be extra careful not to get the flags in the shots. This should go well as we are mainly focusing on the actors not the background. We will also need to change the posters on the walls or just remove them till the filming is over.

The next location I went and took photographs of was the Marina; we could film the scene where the investigator is walking down the street with a murder weapon. This location if we chose an out of the way street will not worry any of the public as we will have a fake murder weapon, and they may think it is real it will be beat to keep out of the way of the public.

These two photographs shows the street that the investigator will walk down when he has just murder the gang leader, and narration will be put over these shots.

The photograph above shows the corner where Jack (The gang leader) will be laying down pretending to be dead, after the investigator has murdered him.
