School We have decided that for the first scene of our

Opening sequence we will need to film in a school. Manshead would be a suitable school because we need to film the students going from one lesson to another. This will give our opening sequence realism as we are able to show our audience that our characters attend a school. This would be very suitable for use to be able to connote the fact that our characters attend a school. The ideal location for this first scene of the characters walking would be a few steps, bench and some school buildings behind which could feature some pupils walking to lesson.

Alley Way We intend to use an alley way in order for our

kidnapping to take place. We thought that an alley way would be a good place for this scene because not many people would be walking through it so it is practical in that sense. Also the fact that it can be quite dark due to limited lighting in and around the alleyway. The ideal scene would just be an alley way! However it could be well lit by lamps in order for us to fully show the action that is taking place. This is practical for us to use because not many people will be using the alleyway that we intend to use, therefore we wont have excess people.

Bedrooms We intend to use two teenage bedrooms for our

filming – one for Josh and one for Beth – This is due to them, having a phone call. This is practical because we will be able to use our own bedrooms as a scene for our filming. This is the easiest location to film in because we only really need to film two people having a phone call from separate rooms which will be easy to convey, through the filming and the split screen. This scene would be very suited to our opening sequence because we need to show the separate rooms for the teenagers.

Outside Chinese Restaurant We intend to use a restaurant just outside of it for

our filming because in the script our characters go to a restaurant. We feel that it would be best suited if the characters don’t go into the restaurant but they wait outside for their friend who doesn’t turn up. This could be practical because we would be near lights of some description such as street lamps, however we would be open to excess people who we don’t necessarily want in the scene. The ideal scene for us would be a restaurant next to a side road so that we could use that side road for the characters to look for their friend.
