The Project . . .
To get electricity at non electrified hours and save huge amount of money and carbon dioxide by using renewable source of energy.
Solar energy is one of the main source of energy available abundant in India. This presentation is based on Installation of Solar Photovoltaic System for a residence.
Presentation . . .
Preparing for Installation
Site Visit : Before planning, it is essential to visit the site and obtain the specific data needed to design and install the system.
Step 1 : Preparation of system Installation
Work Crew briefed on PV procedure and safety Hazards.
Component delivery scheduled.
Component safely stored until Installation.
Step 2 : Delivery of Mounting Structure
1. Height of House
2. Bringing Structure at Roof
3. Structure at Roof
Step 3 Foundation of Mounting Structure1. Foundation Material
2. Working with Foundation Materials
Step 4 Foundation Started on Roof
1. Gripping on Roof 2. Attaching Cement Bases
3. Making Area Wet and Clean 4. Putting Cement to Attach Base with Roof
5. Cement Preparation6. Cement Filling
7. Cement Settlement
8. Filling of Cement
9. Final base and Foundation shape
Above given were the pictures for foundation process.
Before fitting panels on structure, It needs to dry up for whole night and continuously needs water spray to harden up the cement and make foundation strong.
During spare time, checking wirings and accessories.
Step 6 : Panels Fittings Started
1. Taking First Panes to Fit
2. First Panel on Structure
3. Fitting of Panels on Another Structure
Step 7 : Checking Panels Inbuilt Wiring and Junction Box
1. Checking Panels Wiring
2. Panels Junction Box 3. Junction Box Internal View
Step 8 : Wiring Connection of Panels
1. Panels Connectors
2. Extending Panels Wires
3. Connecting Panels into Series Connection (Set of Two’s)
4. Connecting Each Two’s into Parallel
5. Fixing All Wires Together with J-Locks along Structure and Panels
6. Yellow Wire Taken as Positive and Blue as Negative and Sending Wires Down from Roof to Main Board
Step 9 : Connecting Batteries, Charge Controller, Inverter and Panels with
Main Board
1. Blue Solar Switch, Yellow MCB Switch and
White Main Board Switch
2. Charge Controller With Switches
3. Connecting Inverter with Switch, Batteries, and Charge controller
4. Batteries, Each set of Two’s in series and then in
Parallel
5. Charge Controller showing Green
Light as Batteries in Charging Mode
Step 10 : Inspecting and Checking Readings of Whole System
1. Final Roof - Morning
2. Whole Electrical System - Taking
Readings
3. Roof at Afternoon
4. Sunset Readings and Outputs
Whole system is designed in a way to use electricity in Four ways,
First we can use Solar Photovoltaic electricity and then government grid electricity. First we use government grid electricity and then stored Photovoltaic electricity from the batteries.
Only Solar Photovoltaic generated electricity without any consumption from government grid electricity.
Shut down whole Solar PV plant and only use only govt. electricity i.e. this may useful at the time of maintenance and repairing of the system.
System Design
To Conclude
Presently the residence is having 24 hours electricity with the investment of £3000. It is expected to save £45 every month from this PV system which gives a rough payback period of 6 years.
According to International Carbon Bank (ICBE) 0.75 tons of CO2 will be reduced per year. Thank You.
