Crunch, sizzle, zing.
Ingredients
8 large green king prawns, peeled, deveined, tails intact1/4 cup plain fl our1 egg1/2 cup shredded coconut1/2 cup panko breadcrumbsVegetable oil, for shallow-frying
Lime aioli1/4 cup whole-egg mayonnaise1 small garlic clove, crushed1/2 teaspoon fi nely grated lime rind 1 tablespoon lime juice
Method
Using the palm of your hand, slightly fl atten each prawn. Place fl our in a bowl. Add prawns and toss to coat.
Whisk egg and 2 tablespoons cold water together in a shallow bowl. Combine coconut and breadcrumbs on a plate. Dip 1 prawn in egg mixture, then breadcrumb mixture. Place on a plate. Repeat with remaining prawns, egg mixture and breadcrumb mixture.
Heat oil in a large frying pan. Cook prawns for 2 minutes each side or until golden and cooked through.
Meanwhile, make the aioli. Place mayonnaise, garlic, lime rind and lime juice in a bowl. Stir to combine.
Serve prawns with aioli and slices of lime.
Serves 4

Things You’ll Need
1 cup table salt2 cups plain fl our4 teaspoons cream of tartar2 tablespoons cooking oil2 cups waterFood colouringSaucepan
Instructions
Mix the fl our, water, salt and cream of tartar in a saucepan over medium heat until thick.
Allow the mixture to cool and then add the oil and knead well over a fl oured cutting board or similar.
Divide evenly into as many colours as you’d like to make.
Add food colouring to each ball until it is just the colour your child is looking for. Then sit back and let their imaginations go wild.
When not in use store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Mixture will last quite some time.
