1. Flip tagger pin up to tag loading position.

2. Insert tagger pin into tag.

3.Straightenself-piercingtipandpush down onto tagger pin. Make sure the tag is fully seated on the tagger pin before tagging.

4. Rotate tag to the side. Flip the tag and tagger pin down into tagging position.

5. Tag through the front of the ear only. To apply tag, squeezehandlesfirmlytogether and hold closed.

6. To remove ear tags, pull tagger straight down and away from the ear in one single motion.DONOTRELEASETHETAGGERHANDLESATANYPOINTDURINGSTEP6.The pin automatically flips up to eliminate ripped ears and damage to the tagger pin.

1. Depress spring clamp using thumb. Insert a female tag (boss facing down) under the front of the springclampinthelowerjawofthe tagger.

2.Pushthemalebuttontagcom-pletely up onto the tagger pin in theupperjaw.Themaleportionwill stay in position. Confirm the shaft of the male tag is aligned with the female tag.

3.Positionthetagbetweenthetwomain cartilages, closer to the head. Squeezethetaggerhandlesfirmlyclosed. When the male and female tags have locked together the tag-gerjawswillpopopeninareflexaction (and the pin may flip out), releasing the tag without tearing the animal’s ear.
