FRIENDS OF BRAILLE INSTITUTE
100th ANNIVERSARY LUNCHEON Saturday, February 16, 2019
Tamarisk Country Club in Rancho Mirage
Rose Mallett is known for her singular voice, her striking appearance, and her frequent appearances in local clubs and theaters. The Moreno Valley resident has entertained throughout Southern California, in Las Vegas, and on-screen, and she can be seen locally at both Woody’s and the Purple Room in Palm Springs, and will be at Vicky’s of Santa Fe in Indian Wells. Rose has captured the essence of vocal delivery that some say reminds them of the range and texture of Sarah Vaughan; the joy and playfulness of Ella Fitzgerald; the foreboding pain of Billie Holiday; and the regal articulation of Lena Horne. Her voice is simply beautiful.
