It was about noon. 7 A Samaritan woman came to draw water, and Jesus said to her, ‘Give me a drink’. 8 (His disciples had gone to the city to buy food.) 9 The Samaritan woman said to him, ‘How is it that you, a Jew, ask a drink of me, a woman of Samaria?’ (Jews do not share things in common with Samaritans.) 10 Jesus answered her, ‘If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that is saying to you, “Give me a drink”, you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.’ 11 The woman said to him, ‘Sir, you have no bucket, and the well is deep. Where do you get that living water? 12 Are you greater than our ancestor Jacob, who gave us the well, and with his sons and his flocks drank from it?’ 13 Jesus said to her, ‘Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, 14 but those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.’ 15 The woman said to him, ‘Sir, give me this water, so that I may never be thirsty or have to keep coming here to draw water.’ 16 Jesus said to her, ‘Go, call your husband, and come back.’ 17 The woman answered him, ‘I have no husband.’ Jesus said to her, ‘You are right in saying, “I have no husband”; 18 for you have had five husbands, and the one you have now is not your husband. What you have said is true!’ 19 The woman said to him, ‘Sir, I see that you are a prophet. 20 Our ancestors worshipped on this mountain, but you say that the place where people must worship is in Jerusalem.’ 21 Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, believe me, the hour is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. 22 You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is from the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father seeks such as these to worship him. 24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.’ 25 The woman said to him, ‘I know that Messiah is coming’ (who is called Christ). ‘When he comes, he will proclaim all things to us.’ 26 Jesus said to her, ‘I am he, the one who is speaking to you.’ 27 Just then his disciples came. They were astonished that he was speaking with a woman, but no one said, ‘What do you want?’ or, ‘Why are you speaking with her?’ 28 Then the woman left her water-jar and went back to the city. She said to the people, 29 ‘Come and see a man who told me everything I have ever done! He cannot be the Messiah, can he?’ 30 They left the city and were on their way to him.

We place God at the center of our lives by: Meeting Jesus in authentic community. Seeking to know God better. Learning God’s truths. Serving God’s purposes through our life mission. Welcoming the deep changes that the Spirit desires within us. We share our church and this vision with others.
Worship Services Helping people to worship God is important to us. We believe that worship is not a passive receiving, but an active encounter with Jesus who stoops to meet us as we worship. The Mostly Liturgical Worship Service at 9:00 am uses liturgy, hymns, worship songs, and silence to guide us in the worship of God. The 10:35 am Church From Scratch Worship Service blends all different types of music, arts, liturgy and free-form worship to help guide newcomers and experienced alike in the worship of God. On Family Worship Sunday, selected Sundays throughout the year, we come together as one worshiping family at 9:30 am.
A Nursery, (downstairs) is available for children two and under at both worship hours. A “Family Room” on the right side of the Sanctuary is available, as well.
Sunday Morning Children’s Christian Education
9:00 & 10:35: Children join their families in the Sanctuary for opening worship and “Learning with Our Children”, then proceed downstairs for class. The sign-in sheet at both hours is located in the main hallway outside the Sanctuary doors; sign-out downstairs in Fellowship Hall.
Parents must sign their children in and out of all classes every Sunday and pick them up promptly after worship. This is particularly important after the 9 am service so our teachers can put away materials and set up for the 10:35 class. Thank you for supporting our teachers; you are always welcome to visit our classrooms.

Pinwheels at Trinity to Support Ralston House
Ralston House, a child advocacy center that helps children and teens who are suspected of being sexually or physically abused, is planting pinwheels all over Jefferson and Adams Counties. Blue pinwheels are a symbol of child abuse prevention awareness across the nation.
Missions Committee will be selling pinwheels today after both services for $5 each (cash or checks payable to Ralston House). These pinwheels will be planted in a garden outside the church. The goal is to raise $250 (50 pinwheels). Over the past several years, our generous congregation has always exceeded the goal! Each garden says to child/teen victims, “The abuse is not your fault. We are on your side; we believe you and want to help you heal.”

Trinity to Host Growing Home Families the week of May 22 - 28
We will again partner with Family in Christ Church to support the families in the Growing Home program by providing delicious evening meals, and warm, loving interaction with the parents and children. If you’ve never experienced this wonderful ministry before, please consider volunteering. We work in teams, so you won’t be alone. Check out the possibilities; we most definitely need your help.
Trinity will host the evenings of Sunday (5/22), Tuesday (5/24), Thursday (5/26) and Saturday (5/28) at the Growing Home facility at 7375 Samuel in Westminster. Volunteer teams needed: MEAL/EVENING TEAM (2-4 people, prepare/serve dinner, visit/play with children); OVERNIGHT HOSTS (2 people, arrive by 8 pm - or come earlier for dinner, meet the families, sleep over, leave next morning); DONATIONS: $ or Mission Gift Cards for groceries and household supplies.
