Light Lile HOW WE LET OUR LITTLE LIGHT SHINE Lighthouse Landing is a member of the Lake Cecebe Waterway Associaon. CWA is a not for profit organizaon that works to keep the water- way safe, and those who use it through all seasons, to protect the habitat of water and wild life for the present and the future, and to plan acvies for the benefit of all residents on Lake Cecebe and in its surrounding area. These are on- ly a few of the issues they address. For many years Lighthouse Landing has entered photographs taken by the many guests who visit in the CWA photo contest. The photographs are submied, in the guest’s name. We have many avid photogra- phers using digital, underwater and movie cameras. From May-Sept over 16,000 shots are taken at Light- house Landing, on Lake Cecebe and in the area. In late September many pictures are entered and on Thanksgiving a panel judges the picture content under “Nature & Landscapes” and “Life at the Coage.” First place photos are hanging for all to see at Port Carmen Marina. Lighthouse Landing has placed first in the past! We have been lucky to have many of our guests pictures highlighted in first, second & honourable menon standings on the web site at www.cecebewaterways.ca On Aug 29, 2013 Lindsay Van Belois took this winning shot just aſter sunrise. She was standing on the shoreline by the volleyball court looking out over the bay by the road. It was taken by a Canon DLSR T3i on landscape seng. This informaon was submied by Mark Van Belois. While up north, relaxing, hiking, canoeing and kayaking we are immersed in the beauty of it all. In our mind’s eye we remember and the natural wonders are breathtaking. The photograph gives us a second chance to hold on to this memory and to keep it always. Thanks again for loving Lake Cecebe and for capturing moments on print to be treasured.
