LiTraConLitracon presents the phenomenon of light transmitting concrete in the form of a widely
applicable new building material.
The idea – to use concrete and glass together – is old. The newness is,that instead of glass it needs optical fibres,so it transfers the light, and with this, it has an aesthetic look. Transparent concrete, as a building
material, has been a long-standing wish of architects. This wish came true with the appearance
of Litracon.
WALLS
As the most typical adaptable field, Litracon can be used as building material for walls. It can be used for exterior and also for interior walls and as wall covering illuminated from behind. The contrast between the light and the material becomes sharper.
PAVEMENTS
One of the most exciting applications of Litracon is the
pavement - surface illuminated from below.
During the day, it looks like the surface is a simple concrete
pavement. At sunset the paving blocks start to shine, even in
different colours. This product is under development at present.
DESIGN
Litracon is applicable to various areas of design. The most interesting application is Litracon’s use as a logo. Colourful figures, inscriptions, and pictures can be displayed on the logos
ART
