Tony: Oh. And dan?

Lin: Chou are funny clowns (丑角 ). Have you got some idea of Beijing opera now?

David: So, how do you like living in Beijing?

Mary: I love the city. Beijing is such a great city.

David: Did you have any trouble getting used to the way

of life there?

Mary: Oh, sure, but only a little at first. I am pretty used

to it after some time.

David: This is the first time I’ve been in Beijing. What

place shall I visit first?

Mary: The Great Wall. It’s the wonder of ancient (古代的 )

China.

David: What else?

Mary: The Forbidden City, the Summer Palace and many

other attractions. They are all worth seeing.

David: How many days are needed for me to see them

all?

Mary: I’m afraid you have to spend at least three days.

David: Can’t I manage within two days?

Mary: No, not likely. The Great wall is far from the city,

and

it alone will take you a whole day.

David: I see.
