Pneumoconiosis.Includes silicosis and asbestosis.

(1) (a) The mining, quarrying or workingof silica rock or the working of driedquartzose sand or any dry deposit ordry residue of silica or any dryadmixture containing such materials(including any occupation in whichany of the aforesaid operations arecarried out incidentally to the miningor quarrying of other minerals or tothe manufacture of articles containingcrushed or ground silica rock);(b) the handling of any of thematerials specified in the foregoingsubparagraph in or incidental to any ofthe operations mentioned therein, orsubstantial exposure to the dust arisingfrom such operations.

D2 Byssinosis.A respiratory condition.

Work in any room where any process upto and including the weaving process isperformed in a factory in which thespinning or manipulation of raw or wastecotton or of flax, or the weaving of cottonor flax, is carried on.For example, cotton or flax workers.

D3 Diffuse mesothelioma (primary neoplasmof the mesothelium of the pleura or of thepericardium or of the peritoneum).A cancer starting in the covering of thelungs or the lining of the abdomen.
