4-H Youth Ambassadors The Marshall County
Youth Ambassadors
collected 157 items of
canned food items in just
over a month’s time. They
chose to donate these
items to their local House
of Compassion. Four
Youth Ambassadors were
present when the items were taken to the House of
Compassion on December 15th. The House of
Compassion is a soup kitchen, supply closet, and client
assistance program in Marshalltown. They serve anyone
whose income is under 133% of federal poverty level. The
Youth Ambassadors have done this canned food drive for
several years now.
The Marshall County
Youth Ambassadors
served the Community
Cupboard Dinner in
State Center for St.
Joesph’s church on
December 18th. They served around 40 people and were
able to donate extra food that they had to the food pantry
at the church. This was a great opportunity for the youth to
organize an event and to contribute to the community.
