ASSIGNMENT-3 1. Login as root (password is cciitk) 2. Open two Text Mode Virtual Consoles and login as guest (password is guest123) and root. Switch between different Text Mode Consoles and GUI Mode Consol. 3. Configure your Tool Bar to be at the bottom of the screen 4. Write a few lines in Open Office Writer and save the document in Ms Word format 5. Delete this file and try to recover it later on 6. Create a folder of your name on the desktop 7. Use the Text Editor and write a few lines. Save the file on the Desktop 8. Change the Desktop Background 9. Change the Desktop font 10. Change the screen resolution 11. Find out the current run-level and how many daemons are running 12. Remove the software package for Mozilla Firefox and try to access Internet. Reinstall it again and try to access Internet 13. Advance the Date by a day and time by an hour 14. Find out the current CPU and Memory Utilization 15. See the System Logs 16. Lock the screen and unlock it 17. Take a screenshot of a terminal session and save it on your desktop 18. Access remote desktop of your friend. Use vncviewer command and GUI 19.
