Aims and contents

General English: basic phonetic,morphological, grammatical and syntactical

features of the English language; lexis at anelementary and pre-intermediate level;communicative competence.

Specific English: linguistic analysis of

specific texts and readings on the history,language and social and political institutionsin the UK.

B1: È in grado di comprendere i punti essenziali di messaggi chiariin lingua standard su argomenti familiari che affrontanormalmente al lavoro, a scuola, nel tempo libero. Se la cava inmolte situazioni che si possono presentare viaggiando in unaregione dove si parla la lingua. Sa produrre testi semplici ecoerenti su argomenti che gli siano familiari o siano di suointeresse. È in grado di descrivere esperienze e avvenimenti,sogni, speranze, ambizioni, di esporre brevemente ragioni e darespiegazioni su opinioni e progetti.

B2: È in grado di comprendere le idee fondamentali di testicomplessi su argomenti sia concreti sia astratti, comprese lediscussioni tecniche nel proprio settore di specializzazione. È ingrado di interagire con relativa scioltezza e spontaneità, tanto chel’interazione con un parlante nativo si sviluppa senza eccessivafatica e tensione. Exam sessions

Exams can be taken in each one of the 6sessions available during the academic year:June, July, September, January, February,April. The oral exam is held a week after thewritten test.

If you take the written test in a session withtwo “appelli” like June-July or January-February and you get a positive mark, you cantake the oral examination in the second call ofthe session, the following month.

In September and April, written test and oralexam are to be taken in the same session.


Exam sessions

If you take the written test in June or January and you failit, you can ask permission to repeat it in the following call,in the same session, in July or February.

The possibility to repeat the written test after a monthmust be discussed with the instructor.


English language certificates Gli studenti in possesso di certificati di Lingua Inglese, quali gli

esami di Cambridge (PET, FIRST, ADVANCED, PROFICIENCY),TOEFL, IELTS, Trinity College (ISE) (Enti Certificatoririconosciuti) possono richiedere la convalida parziale o totale deicrediti per l‟esame di Lingua Inglese I.

I certificati di Livello B1 danno diritto all‟esenzione dalla partescritta e lo studente è tenuto a sostenere solo una parte orale, daconcordare con la docente.

I certificati di Livello B2 o superiore danno diritto all‟esenzionetotale dall‟esame, con registrazione del voto in trentesimi.
