Wednesday’s 12:00 noon Editor: JPM January 26, 2011 President Pat Millard Presiding SONG & PLEDGE: Thank goodness Don Ayers was back with his melodious voice to lead us in Song & Pledge SPIRITUAL AIMS & Opening Prayer: Janet Lewis GUESTS: Debbie Lacey, Becky Connaughton & Janie Millard FINES: Those who did not shake the hand of Doc Burkhardt were fined and an additional fine was levied against anyone who had on a shirt and tie and had their sleeves rolled up. (Treat the Prez right Dave Smith and maybe you will be spared the “Wrath of Kahn”. HAPPY BUCKS: Erich Wittig happy that of last Friday he is a new Grandfather. Vern Turner happy he and his wife Sharon are celebrating their 49 wedding anniversary. Heard some side comments about Sharon being a Saint. Dave Smith happy that after 2 snow storm and a bout with the flu, his Son is once again a Buckeye. Lou Robinson happy to be at the meeting and sitting beside his best friend Don Ayers. (a lot of groans on that one). Phil III happy that the Ohio Governors visit is tomorrow night so he might be able to settle down a bit. He had more but I could not hear above all noise (something about Lou's choice of friends). Dave Schul happy that there is no dissension on the Bengals team. I think that was an ironic statement. Chuck Ramage happy that he will be going to Florida for 2 weeks. Who will do “Birthday's with Chuck”? Have a great trip Chuck. POTTO LOTTO: Janet Lewis, Danny Crank and Paul Waechter were big winners today. Chuck Stinger gave us an update on some members who we have not seen in awhile and commented on how beautiful the funeral was for Edsel Harrison's Mom, Rosemary. 1. Lois Clark is home back home from being at Berkely for awhile due to complications from pneumonia. She is much better now but still gets short of breath and tires easily. 2. John McWilliam is having some neck problems related to his recent illness. He finds he has to wear a neck brace at times. He did fall recently and broke a rib. He is currently on insulin for his diabetes and this has hampered his ability to attend meetings. He has indicated however, that he is planning on being back in time to chair the Fair Booth committee. We hope that it is sooner than that John. 3. Dale Smith is back at Westover. He had to go to Ft. Hamilton Hospital for 5 days due to digestive problems. 4. Bill Smith has been moved from Westover to Fort Hamilton Hospital. Shirley reports that he is not doing well and his prognosis in not good. They would appreciate our prayers for the both of them. 5. No contact with Ida Wile, if anyone has information please call Chuck @867-0079 ANNOUNCEMENTS: There will be a 5 th Division Meeting on February 3 rd in Middletown at the Forest Hills Country Club, 791 4 th Ave. Cocktails @6:00, Dinner @ 6:30 and Meeting @ 7:00. Cost $16.00 RSVP by Thursday Jan 27, 2011. Our guest speaker was our own Bob Brandner who kept us all spell bound with his beautiful pictures and his helpful tips on how to take great pictures. He had numerous samples of his work and discussed in depth how he achieved these stunning photos.
