DEREK MORRIS Associate Ministerial Secretary General Conference

Derek Morris has two doctorate of ministry degrees and serves as editor of Ministry, an international journal for pastors. He teaches the Hope Sabbath School. Morris is the author of the series Radical Prayer, Radical Teachings of Jesus, Radical Protection and Radical Evidence.

Dear Friends, Welcome to Camp Meeting 2014. This annual event has become part of Adventist heritage dating back to the early days of our church. The purpose has always been the same, to intentionally seek the Lord and enjoy the good fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ. Although times may change and we no longer meet in tents, our need for the Lord and each other has remained essential. Stephen Chavez joined the Adventist Review staff in 1994, after serving nearly 20 years in pastoral ministry in California and Nevada. Steve’s passion is practical Christianity, reflecting Christ’s character in both words and deeds.

RON CARLSON President Kansas-Nebraska Conference

An alumnus of Union College, Ron Carlson spent more than 37 years sharing God’s word with congregations in the Dakota, Iowa-Missouri and Northern California conferences. He served in administration in Iowa-Missouri and Kansas-Nebraska.
