The instructions(excerpts)• The aim of this tweasure hunt is primarily to have fun

but also to uncover some of Limerick City’s American connections and hidden treasures.

• Each team will be given a set of instructions with a list of quests and challenges each scoring different points. This will involve finding places, talking to people, taking photographs, being creative and tweeting. The winner of this game will be the group who amasses the most points.

• Tweet the answer/photo/object along with the #4thjulyLimerick and your Team Name. All photos must have the team symbols in it somewhere

Scoring Points

• Each of the 10 locations hinted by the questions photographed and tweeted 10 each

• Each of the streetscapes retrieved, photographed and tweeted 10 each

• Talking to an American ambassador and tweeting a fact of interest that you learned from them 20

• Creating your Own Plaque in a place with an American connection, photo and tweet 20

• Recording (audio or in writing) of the story connected to that place 10

The plaquesThe clue: This plaque commemorates the home of the Bostonian who ministered during the American Civil War. His conversion from Protestantism to Catholicism caused a sensation in his Native New England Home. He came to Limerick to live in the early 1800’s and died in 1815 as a locally esteemed priest of edifying piety!
