Your Hotel in Lavagna

The small family-run hotel is located at only few steps from the beach, in a quiet and central position in Lavagna. Recently renovated, the 27 rooms are comfortable and with private facilities, including hairdryer, direct dial telephone, TV colour, safe; some with balcony. The hotel also offers Tv room, bar, restaurant and a lift. Distance to major resorts Genoa 41 Km; Rapallo 18 Km; La Spezia 60 Km.

Programme 1.day: Arrival at the Hotel, dinner and overnight. 2. day: After breakfast, we leave towards Rapallo, one of the most popular holiday resorts on Eastern Riviera. We stop to look at the spectacular promenade and the yacht port. From here a ferry takes us to Portofino along an elegant stretch of coast. The cape of Portofino is a strip of land covered in olives and maritime pines. The wonderful plants are protected. Portofino lies in a natural bay, jetty for yachts and high society ships. By boat, we reach Santa Margherita, a very well known resort close to Portofino. There, enjoy some free time for a visit to “Santa”, how the resort is also called in short, before returning to the Hotel. Dinner and overnight. 3. day: After breakfast, departure tu Genoa. Of course Genoa has grown and changed since Goethe, Stendhal and Byron fell in love with it... 1992 Genoa was the home of the well known EXPO and the then-built ways today are cosy promenades. The aquarium was also opened in the same year. Within 50 pools it is tried to rebuild the sea life. Penguins, tropical fish, seals, corals, dolphins, turtles, grey sharks, snakes and a 3D movie. All this and more can be seen in this aquarium which is located in the real heart of Genoa: the so called “old port”. European cultural capital 2004, has the side of a metropolis now a days. However the ancient city still has the same flair and therefore a walk through it is like a journey trough the middle ages with all its cloisters and the house of birth of Genoas best known son Columbus. Breathtaking palaces, coloured fronts... and in the middle of this wealth we are to get a glimpse of luxurious gardens and backyards. The Via Garibaldi is a World Heritage Site. The whole old town is jovial with its countless little shops and the monumental cemetery which was funded by the bourgeoisie. So you see, Genoa has not only a great daily life but also a history of art. Back to the Hotel, dinner and ovenight. 4. day: After breakfast, departure for a full day excursion to the Cinque Terre region. A world in itself that has kept its superb unspoiled beauty thanks to its wild nature. The beauty of the

Cinque Terre lies in a canvas of contrasts, from the sea to the steep rugged cliffs, from the stony land to the green vineyards from which a famous wine is obtained. Monterosso is the westernmost of the Cinque Terre: we visit the historic centre with the Cappuccini Abbey and the 14th century Church of San Giovanni. Later we take the train to Vernazza, a small village perched on the cliffs with houses gathered around the church, we pass Corniglia and reach the picturesque village Riomaggiore. There is a very beautiful high winding footpath along the coast called The Lovers’ Pathway, “La Via dell’Amore”, which starts in Riomaggiore and leads to Manarola. Optional boat transfers, on request. Transfer by bus back to the hotel, dinner and overnight. 5. day: Time to say goodbye... After breakfast, departure back home.
