In this brochure you will find the answers to the most frequently asked questions regarding your Lightair IonFlow 50 air purifier. If you don’t find the answer to your question here, then please feel free to visit our website, send us an email, or call us and we will be happy to assit you.

Which particles does the air purifier remove? The air purifier cleans the air of all types of particles such as combustion particles, car exhaust, pollen, virus, bacteria, mold, and more. It, however, can not handle gas. Particles vary in size and weight, which determines how long they can be air borne. The small the particle the longer it circulates in the air before it falls to the floor. Also, the smaller the particle the more dangerous is it for our health because of its capability to enter the blood stream and reach the organs in our body. The air purifier can remove all sizes of particles, but are specialized in removing the smallest.

Does the air purifier prove effective in particle reduction?Lightair IonFlow 50 has been proven effective by several third party testing institutes such as the Swedish governmental test institute SP (Statens Provningsanstalt). According to this test Lightair is an efficient as one of the best HEPA filter based air purifiers on the market in terms of cleaning the air but without the noise, expensive filter-change and high energy consumption. Also it is ozone free! To read the full report please visit www.lightair.com.

Does the air purifier remove odor/gas?The air purifier cannot remove gas. Odors however are not always gas, but particles, which the air purifier removes efficiently. For example smoke creates an unpleasant smell. Lightair efficiently removes smoke particles and thereby also the unpleasant smell.

How should I place my air purifier? We recommend that you place the air purifier at least 3 feet away from all walls and furniture and that you hang the Solution model 1.5 feet down from the ceiling. Never place the air purifier in a position where you will block the corona needles. If these recommendations are not followed, nearby walls and/or furniture may become somewhat dirty.

What is the capacity of the air purifier?Lightair recommends that you use the air purifier in rooms up to 50 m2 or 540 sq ft in a normal home environment. It is however important to understand that depending on the amount of sources of pollution the air purifiers capacity alters. For example, if you smoke, have a dog, work at home, frequently use printers and/or live in a busy city environment you might need two units to cover the same area. This logic goes for all air purifiers on the market.

Does the air purifier need to stay turned on 24/7?Air is changeable and cannot remain relatively clean without constant and active cleaning. For best results, the air purifier should stay turned on 24/7. The low energy consumption is relevant and important. If you want to turn your air purifier off when you leave your home then expect 30-60 minutes before it reaches maximum effect once you have turned it on.
