ReflectionReflection•the bouncing back of a wave when it hits a surface through which it cannot pass

RefractionRefraction•the bending of waves as they enter a different object

Concave LensConcave Lens•a lens that is thinner in the center than at the edges. Directs light outward as it passes through.

Convex LensConvex Lens•a lens that is thicker in the center than at the edges . Directs light inward as it passes through.

OpaqueOpaque•a material that reflects or absorbs all light that strikes it (can’t see through it)

TransparentTransparent•a material that transmits light (see through).

TranslucentTranslucent•a material that scatters light as it passes through (can see a silhouette.
