Millennial Women Reject the Pill and Use Phone Apps to Track Fertility With each passing year, the dangers of hormonal

birth control become clearer. With higher risks of serious side effects – from clinical depression to blood clots and even cancer – today’s young women are increasingly rejecting what was once considered the “holy grail of feminism.”

“Many Millennial women are rejecting the pill for various reasons… In fact, younger women are turning away from the pill in droves — an NHS study found that the number of women in contact with sexual and reproductive health services who used user-dependent contraception, including the pill, had dropped by more than 13 per cent between 2005 and 2015. It's hardly surprising: a quick Google search turns up some alarming reports, from articles on possible links between the pill and cancer to claims that are outright bizarre, such as "contraceptive pills flushed down the toilet are turning fish transgender."

The pill’s cancer-causing potential is well known.

“The World Health Organization classifies birth control pills as a Group 1 carcinogen, along with things like asbestos and tobacco. So it's no wonder that women are finally saying enough is enough and finding alternate methods of pregnancy prevention.

What is “new” for this generation is the ease of using technology – including phone apps – to avoid consuming toxic contraceptives.

Vogue magazine recently profiled female particle physicist who designed an app to track basal body temperature – one of many natural fertility options.

“There are at least a half-dozen different methods that combine various symptom tracking, including the Marquette method that uses the ClearBlue Easy fertility monitor. And as technology has improved, so has fertility tracking; there's an app for whichever method you choose.”

Democrat Nightmare: Major Black Constituency Declares War on Abortion

In a recent op-ed – Dennis Peacocke of Go Strategic ministries made note of a significant development in the abortion wars:

“What could be worse for the Democratic Party than President Trump appointing four Supreme Court Justices? I know: The majority of African American clergy declaring an anti-racist war on abortion.

Well, it looks like it has started. The Church of God in Christ, a global African American church with over 6.5 million members, has recently taken a hard stand against this racist genocide practice.”

The AFA Journal further explains to COGIC’s plan:

“Abortion is the leading cause of death among blacks, killing almost three times as many African Americans as heart disease, strokes, and cancer combined.

For the Church of God in Christ, enough was finally enough…. COGIC leaders took a stand, birthing Family Life Campaign, an unprecedented, denomination-wide crusade to end abortions and promote adoptions. With a predominantly black membership of over six million members in all 50 states and 87 countries, leadership felt a call from God to begin this five-year initiative.”

The AFA article describes challenges in overcoming abortion which is wide-spread in the black community. Many congregants suffer from post-abortive issues of guilt, condemnation, and secrecy, creating impediments to FLC’s efforts.

Amazingly, FLC is experiencing dramatic effects as it unites people of faith and “seeks to walk beside a woman in the middle of a crisis pregnancy, step by step, demonstrating the worth of the mother’s life as well as the life of her baby.”

The President’s Corner By the time this newsletter finds its way to you, Pikes Peak Citizens

for Life should have a completely redesigned website up and running at www.ppcitizensforlife.org.

With the new website design we hope to establish an even better means of informing you about the issues, activities, events and everything else that is important to the pro-life community in the Pikes Peak region.

As before, the site will have articles written by local authors as well as links to state and national pro-life sources, a calendar, a blog, copies of our newsletters, a place to sign up for our electronic newsletter, and a place to make donations, among other things.

The difference between the old and the new sites, we hope, is that the new site will help you use all these functions better so that you can obtain what you want to find in the fastest and most informative ways possible.

We have set ourselves some ambitious goals to provide you information on a large number of topics, so we beg your patience as we work to fill everything in. Remember that PPCFL is an entirely volunteer organization!

If you feel we are missing anything, please let us know about it! Better communication is a necessary element in the rebuilding of a culture of life in our community.

Hospital Regime “Geared towards Euthanasia” A recent UK report describes the ease of killing helpless patients. As

noted in commentary on the report by the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children: “More than 450 people died in Gosport War Memorial Hospital after being prescribed ‘dangerous doses’ of clinically unjustified pain killers.”

Medical personnel – acting on their own authority – used pain medication to kill people! The practice appears to have been carried out since at least 1991. Objections from some nurses were overlooked.

The family of one patient insisted the medication be stopped. The patient subsequently improved and went home.

Dr. Anthony McCarthy of the Society for the Protection of Unborn Children (SPUC) sums it up very well. Calling it a “euthanistic culture,” he says that “[s]uch a culture views it as an acceptable solution to replace genuine care with the intention to bring about the early death of vulnerable patients.”

It is important to realize that the euthanistic culture Dr. McCarthy describes is the same culture we have here in Colorado, now more clearly recognizable with legalized physician assisted suicide.

How could we have legalized physician assisted suicide? Dr. McCarthy provides an answer when commenting on the hospital case: “The systematic failure of both medical and legal bodies to take appropriate action in the face of concerns raised by nurses suggests that constant propaganda in favor of euthanasia and an indulgent attitude to ‘hard cases’ is doing its work.”

As pro-life citizens are ignored, euthanasia propaganda will continue to breed a culture of death.

Thoughts from the sidewalk... by Michele Mason

Today a lady parked her car on the other side of the road and stared at us with a not too happy look on her face. I went over to talk to her.

In a bit of a negative tone, she asked what we were doing. She wanted to know if we were turning people away from Planned Parenthood. She said she was a supporter of PP.

I didn't respond to that, but I let her know, that the center up the street has free pregnancy tests, STD tests etc. and that women going to PP sometimes can't even afford that much. I told her the Pregnancy Center can also lead women to get other help as well, such as help in finding housing etc.

It was awesome to see God change her attitude during our short conversation. She went from being kind of angry to being more accepting and open when she saw we both just want to take care of women. It was God working in her. She said, "Free is always good," and asked for a brochure.

Now I'm sure she is still a supporter of PP, but the door is opened for her to see that we are out there to help. God can work wonders when the door to someone's heart is opened just a tiny bit. All Glory to God!

Unborn Baby Ultrasound becomes a 3D Model!

Not so long ago, parents had to wait nine months to see what their baby looked like – or even know if it was a boy or a girl…. And then came ultrasound images and soon expectant parents were sharing their child’s “first photo” before they were even born! But that is all yesterday’s news.

According to Russian news outlets, a company called Embryo 3D is giving parents-to-be the chance to hold true to life models of their babies before they’re born!

The company creates a unique baby model from the ultrasound image using a 3D printer.

In footage of the process, filmed in the Russian city of Ufa, an expectant mother is shown having the ultrasound which is then used to generate the three dimensional model of her unborn baby.

“It is a weird feeling, the child hasn’t been born yet, but you can touch it and feel it like as it is now,” the mom said while holding her child’s image.
