Supplement Guide Week 1 and 2 – Follow the instructions for either the Pure Life Cleanse or the Colo-Vada Cleanse. Each program lasts two weeks. In addition, take 6 tablets of Spirulina between breakfast and lunch and also between lunch and dinner to curb cravings, balance the blood sugar, and assist in the cleansing process.

Week 3 and 4 – Take 6 capsules of Artichoke Liver Cleanse at night before bed, or at least 2 hours after your evening meal. Continue taking 6 tablets of Spirulina twice a day.

Food Guide To achieve maximum results during your 28-Day-Detox, we have created this helpful Food Guide. Use this guide to determine what foods should be emphasized, eaten sparingly or avoided altogether for a 28 day experience that will revitalize your health!

Focus on Vegetables Enjoy an unlimited amount of vegetables! These are the most cleansing and detoxifying foods available. Choose organic whenever possible as they have been grown without toxic pesticides and have higher nutritional value. White potatoes are not recommended, but sweet potatoes are encouraged. Corn is also not a suggested vegetable as it is often genetically modified. We recommend that you choose fresh, frozen or juiced vegetables over dried or canned vegetables. Make it your goal to eat ½ of your vegetables raw and the other ½ steamed or sautéed in a healthy oil. Sprinkling on a high quality, colorful sea salt will bring out the delicious flavors in your salads and vegetables. Green Phyto-Power™ and Spirulina powders from RBC Life are wonderful green food products to help you conveniently add the nutrition of vegetables to your diet.

Light on the Fruit Fruits are also very cleansing, but if you have any issues regarding blood sugar control or weight, we suggest you limit fruit to only 2 servings a day. Fruits are best eaten as snacks with some sort of healthy fat such as olive oil on a tomato or an apple with almond butter. Your goal should be to eat about twice as many vegetables as fruit. As with your vegetables, choose organic whenever possible and select fresh or frozen fruit over dried or canned. Be sure to avoid fruit for approximately 1 hour after a heavy meal as this can cause indigestion.

Healthy Fats and Oils The use of a moderate amount of healthy fats and oils is encouraged during your cleanse. Nuts, seeds and avocadoes are the most prevalent sources of healthy fats. Most of these can be eaten freely, but if weight loss is a goal, watch portion sizes to ensure these calorie-dense snacks do not sabotage your efforts. When selecting oils, ensure they are cold-pressed and unprocessed. Use high-quality oils, such as coconut oil, extra-virgin olive oil, flaxseed oil, walnut oil, almond oil, grape seed oil and organic butter. All nuts and seeds should be consumed raw, not roasted in oil and canned.

No Grain, No Gain A small amount of whole grain can add fiber to the diet, but too many grains can impede weight loss and encourage food cravings. Limit yourself to ½ - 1 cup of cooked grains per day. Those who desire maximum weight loss or have concerns with their blood sugar control may benefit from eliminating grains completely. For those who wish to include grains, choose whole grains over refined or packaged grains. We highly recommend that you consume only non-gluten containing grains such as brown rice, millet, quinoa, gluten-free oats, amaranth and buckwheat. Take a break from grain products such as breads, pasta and pastries during this 28 day detox.

Protein Power Good sources of protein can satisfy cravings, speed weight loss, and fuel your workouts. Spirulina provides more bioavailable protein than any other food on the planet. It is available in powder, tablets, capsules and bars from RBC Life. Organic, free-range brown eggs are another excellent source of protein. Fish is your best choice for animal protein during the cleanse, provided it is deep sea fish (e.g. salmon, cod, or sea bass) and not farm raised. When selecting chicken and turkey, look for organic products from farms where animals are raised humanely. Look for the terms free-range, antibiotic-free, and hormone-free, if possible. Avoid cured, smoked, or luncheon meats which contain harmful preservatives. Beans provide protein but typically contain a great deal of starch which can hinder weight loss. However, lentils are encouraged for their high protein and fiber content. They are much lower in carbohydrates than most beans, and lentil soup can make a very filling, nutrient-rich meal.

Foods to Avoid There are several types of foods and beverages that can impede your body’s ability to detoxify, so we suggest tapering off them prior to your 28-Day-Detox These include alcohol, coffee and any food containing refined sugar. Try switching to green tea instead of coffee, and use a small amount of honey or agave to sweeten your food and drinks. Your body will thank you for taking a break from these health offenders.

Most importantly, take time to enjoy your foods even if they are new to your palate. Our bodies were designed to live on whole foods, not things out of a package. Make it your mission to learn a few new recipes, try new types of vegetables, and write down what you eat so you can prioritize your eating and consciously move towards a healthier way of life.
