We all splurge a little over the holidays but there are ways to survive the season of indulgence with your health still intact. Here are 5 simple things you can do to ensure that you stay vibrant and full of energy this month. Take a peek below to see how you can start 2011 with a renewed commitment to your health. 1. Remember your antioxidants. Free radicals abound and with holiday travel, eating on the run, extra stress and heavy foods, this is no time to forget to protect yourself. Diet and lifestyle factors can greatly increase the number of free radicals your body has to deal with. Eating more food means we create more free radicals, which are cellular damage waiting to happen. Traveling by car or air also increases free radicals in the body. This holiday season, give yourself the protection you need from the most powerful antioxidant available, Microhydrin ® . 2. Enzymes spell energy. The importance of breaking down our foods can’t be overstated. At the holidays, when most of us consume more calories and more cooked foods, Digestion Formula is an absolute must. This product provides the full complex of necessary enzymes that we need to break down our food into usable nutrients without taxing our body and robbing us of energy. Prevent after-meal fatigue by simply taking Digestion Formula with each meal. Don’t forget to take them with you to holiday parties! 3. Aloe to the rescue. Many people experience unpleasant side effects from rich meals and eating late at night. When food does not digest properly, it can come back up and burn the esophagus, particularly at night when lying down exacerbates the problem. Rather than using a product to shut down digestion, you can support digestion with enzymes and keep TRUAloe on hand for any unwelcomed repercussions from a holiday indulgence. TRUAloe juice provides welcome relief as it calms the stomach acidity and soothes the entire digestive tract. 4. Pack your snacks. Getting caught out of the house without a snack makes those holiday treats much more tempting. Ideal snacks include the Spirulina Whole Food Bars and Bright Bars. Keep several with you so you and your friends or kids will have something convenient and healthy, but also delicious, to snack on when you are out and about. Hint: The cocoa bars offer a nice chocolate fix that will help fill you up before holiday parties. 5. Start with greens. Research shows that your choice of breakfast foods has an impact on everything else you eat throughout the day. We also know that feeding your body nutrient-dense green foods will curb sugar cravings and help you consume fewer calories. So combine the two concepts and start your day with green foods! You can make a delicious smoothie by combining your favorite fruits with water or a milky beverage then adding Spirulina and Green Phyto-Power . Try it and you will see that you naturally eat less and have more energy to enjoy this wonderful season!
