Summary:Summary:

• There was a beautiful village in South Africa named Kumansenu.

• It was located in a beautiful landscape.• There lived a widow. Her name was Bola

with her seven years old granddaughter named Asi.

• Bola had a story in her youth.

……• She gives the birth of six sons but none of

them had survive.• When her last son died, then magician

named Musa advises her to break the bones of dead child and mangle it but she could not do it because of her great love to her son.

• Rather she put a black spot on the buttock of the sixth son.

• Time passed, she gave birth to another son, Meji.

• She looked at the buttock. really, there was a black spot in the exact place where she had marked in her previous baby.

• Anyway, the child did not die young. He mature, got married in 30 years old, and gave birth to a daughter.

……• At present, Meji was working as a clerk in

the city.• He was staying there with his wife.• One day, all of sudden the son appears in

the room in one of the evenings.• The old widow asked why he had been

there without information.• She wanted to call all the villagers to

welcome him.

……• But he rejects telling her that he has just

come to meet his mother and daughter. • His daughter went to meet him and saw that

her father had covered his neck.• Curious girl asked him why he had covered

his neck.• He replied that there was a wound in his

neck and hoped that she would not touch it.

……• Next day, Bola goes the market and Maji

takes his daughter Asi to visit mountain areas.

• He gives Asi a lot of things to eat and play.• In the evening, Bola, Meji and Asi visit the

grave of Maji’s father.• At night, The mother prepares food but the

son would not take it.• It was raining outside.

……• The son was standing in the rain.• The mother calls him inside but the son

replies that he had come there just to thank her because she did not cut his legs in the previous life.

• Then he disappears.• Bola becomes sad and surprised and

makes her plan to call Addai to inform this event on Sunday.

……• But Addai himself comes there on Sunday

and delivers a message of Meji’s death on Friday.

• Meji died exactly at 12 o'clock when the glass of the window broke down and his head had been severed as he had tried to peep out through it.

• Both Asi and Bola do not believe him because they tell him that Meji was with them on Friday.

……• Villagers think that Bola’s mind is out of

track because of shock at the moment.• Magician Musa tells her that this event

happened since she did not follow him. However, she fells happy on arriving her son and loving him too much.

InterpretationInterpretation• This story shows the power of love

between mother and children.• It also captures thanks of the children

towards their parents.• Mother’s love to her son or daughter is

immense and the reverse is also true.

• Bola’s love prepares herself to bear if even if the spirit of the sixth son come alive to mock her.

• We can also say that a dead person may come to meet his/her loving one.

• After reading this story, I have understood how mother has a dream and love to their children. Still I have been missing my family for 1 years. But now I am going to visit my family on the occasion of Dashain to share love and affection.
