Capital Markets Licensing Registry and Training Agency Inc. (SPL) has been operating since 2011 with the authorization given by the Capital Markets Board of Turkey (CMB).

For those who work/will work in the capital market institutions and publicly held corporations, we perform activities of• Conducting licensing examinations, • Granting licenses based on the results of the examinations, • Organizing training programs related to licenses, and • Keeping records of the license holders.

License Types

Licensing ExaminationsWe organize capital market activities licensing examinations in

1) Paper environment and2) Electronic (e-LS) environment.

• In terms of the results, the licensing examinations made in paper and electronic environment are equivalent.• Anyone can apply for the licensing examinations.• There is no graduation degree requirement to apply, however, graduation is a must for getting the license certificate.• Applications are made electronically via SPL Application System (www.basvuru.spl.com.tr).

In order to succeed in the exam:• The minimum score must be 50 over 100 in each of examination subjects and • Arithmetical average of exam scores must be at least 60.

Licensing Examinations in Electronic Environment (e-LS)

The examination centers for e-LS:1) SPL Osmanbey Examination Center2) SPL Maslak Examination Center

Examinations are held five days a week including Saturdays!

For each examination subject, you may choose the date and the time of the examsaccording to quota by yourself!e-LS results are announced within 5 business days following the examination date.

Licensing Examinations in Paper

The examinations are organized twice a year in 12 different provinces.The provinces where the exams are held:

Ankara, Adana, Antalya, Bursa, Diyarbakır,Erzurum, Gaziantep, İstanbul (European and Asian side),İzmir, Kayseri, Konya, Samsun.

About Us

Persons having certain job titles or qualifications determined in the LicensingCommuniqué and working in

• Publicly-Held Corporations,• Investment Firms,• Collective Investment Undertakings, • Rating Agencies, • Real Estate Appraisal Companies and • Other institutions that are covered by the Capital Market Law

are required to have one or several of the licenses listed in the Communiqué.

The terms for obtaining a license are:

• Success in the licensing examinations and • Graduation from designated school level specified in the Licensing Communiqué.

If you hold;• a CMA Level 3 License, you may work in jobs requiring CMA Level 2 License and CMA Level 1 License.• a CMA Level 2 License, you may work in jobs requiring CMA Level 1 License.• a Real Estate Appraisal License, you may work in jobs requiring Residential Real Estate Appraisal License.

SPL must be notified by the capital market institutions and publicly heldcompanies regarding the notifications of

1) Statement of Employment,2) Cease of Employment,3) Changes in Personnel Duty/Place of Duty/Title,4) Changes in Contact Details of Capital Market Institutions,5) Suspension of Off-Center Organization Activities,6) Off-Center Organization Opening.

The notifications regarding the employment and cease of employment of thosewho are subject to license should be reported to SPL within 10 business days.

Renewal Trainings

Training

• Applications for renewal trainings are made via SPL Application System (basvuru.spl.com.tr).• Trainings are presented web-based through SPL Online Training Portal (OEP). • You can create a training program based on your needs through compulsory and elective courses in the training pool by yourself.• Renewal trainings must be completed within 30 days following the date of application!

Tailored Trainings for InstutionsWe develop tailored training courses for the specific training requests and development needs of the institutions!You may contact us via egitim@spl.com.tr

We offer Electronic General Meeting System Training(E-GEM) which is compulsory for the stock exchangelisted companies as web-based via SPL OnlineTraining Portal (OEP).

Electronic General Meeting System(E-GEM) Trainings

• Pursuant to the Board’s resolution, no. 22/735, dated 17.07.2014, past job experience condition is sought for the persons holding a Real Estate Appraisal License and Residential Real Estate Appraisal License in case of appraisal service.• The candidates who do not meet the past job experience condition may participate in the class-based training program.• The training program lasts 7 days and 56 hours. • At the end of the training program, those who complete the training successfully obtain their certificate indicating that they have met the requirement of the past job experience.

License Renewal Trainings

• It is compulsory to take a license renewal training once every 3 years!• The license of those who do not participate to the license renewal training is suspended!• People who have suspended license are not permitted to engage in the licensed activities!• The suspended license becomes valid in case of the successfully completion of the relevant renewal training.

Module renewal trainings are applied to the examination scoreswhich are older than 3 years.
