In this framework, the characterisation and description of local varieties, performed through the sampling and description of genetic, morphometric and chemical characteristics, is accompanied by an integrated study of the palm dates cropping system in the Al Jufrah Region. Such study has been carried out by means of the set up of Geographical Information System of Date plantations for the five oasis of Waddan, Hun, Sokna, Zellah and Al Fugha.
