In 2003 – 2004, a library renovation project, supported by Troyan Municipality, SDC, many companies and citizens, was implemented.

The representatives of the local center for work with volunteers in Troyan distribute valentines made by them and provide an opportunity for young lovers’ couples to take beautiful pictures.

The volunteers of the local center for work with volunteers at Nauka 1870 Public Chitalishte conducted a children’s book donation campaign in Troyan. The initiative is part of the national campaign of the National Alliance for Work with Volunteers in Plovdiv. The Regional Center for Work with Volunteers at Eco-Mission 21st Century Association organized the event for Lovech district. The campaign aims to collect children’s books alleviate children’s stay in the hospital.

The motto “Donate an Old Book and Make a Child Smile” was used to appeal to the public to donate children’s books in a good condition to alleviate children’s stay at the hospital.

Children with special education needs from the Resource Center

visited the library at Nauka 1870 Public Chitalishte. This time, in addition to

their usual activities, they took part in a computer game and quiz competition.

They used the internet to answer the difficult questions. The volunteers

Martina, Todor, Monica, Victoria and Velislava helped them. There were

awards and, most importantly, high spirits.
