Claire Snyder will present on efforts to improve water quality for people and wildlife. Medicare Maze (A): Wednesday, November 4th, 11 AM. Oak Street Health will provide clarity about different parts of Medicare coverage. Color Me Stress Free (A): Tuesday, November 10th, 6 PM. Choose from a variety of pictures and recharge from your everyday stressors. Canning Your Harvest (A): Tuesday, November 24th, 7 PM. Just in time for Thanksgiving, Anna Stange will demonstrate the process and provide tips for those new to canning. The Bee-pocalypse? (A): Tuesday, December 1st, 7 PM. How are bees doing in the south suburbs? Learn how you can help these essential pollinators. B lue Island will kick off the holiday season on December 5th with a day filled with fun activities! The library will be screening holiday movies for families from 1-4 PM. Snacks will be provided, but feel free to bring your own from home, and there might be a visit from Mrs. Claus! Later in the evening we will have our annual Christmas Open House following the Christmas Parade down Western. Come in for some goodies provided by the Friends of the Library and see our annual tree lighting. Entertainment for the evening will be costumed carolers who will serenade us with songs old and new. With art supplies purchased through a grant from the Ezra Jack Keats Foundation, we draw, write, paint, print, or other...creative nonsense.Game Night (YA)(F):First Thursday of every month (11/5, 12/3), 6-8 PM. What did we do before video games? Bring in the board game

of your choice, or try out the ones from our collection. Bring a friend. Bring a group of friends. Snacks will be provided!!!

International Game Day (YA)(F):November 21, ALL DAY. Games all day in the library. Online tournaments, video games, board games, card games, etc...Mini-Sculptures with Polymer Clay (YA):Wednesday, December 9th, 4-5:30 PM. A great Christmas gift if you do that sort of thing...you know...getting people gifts. We’ll be making tiny charms out of polymer clay, and “firing” them in a toaster oven. Hearts, stars, and butter-flies...or teeth, skulls, and knives.
