2016 ANNUAL REPORT
2016 Teacher & Program Grants Awarded:
$5,000 General Music Fund and $4,200 for the purchase of a Drumline
The Liberty school district passed a bond in the fall of 2016 and will begin the remodel and expansion of the school this summer. LCEF supported the bond committee by contributing to the promotion and advertisement of the school im-provement bond. There are excit-ing times at Liberty, as the school is about to transform for the next
generation of students. Gym Expansion and HS remodel
It’s unbelievable how far we have come in the past ten years. Going back and reading the ini-tial minutes of this fledgling foundation is eye opening. The first meeting was just a group of supporters who were trying to get the organiza-tion off the ground. The supporters decided to “pass the hat” for start up costs at the next meeting. The date was October 22, 2007. The first official treasurer’s report was December 3, 2007 and we had a grand total of $20,000 which included a gift that sparked the idea of a educa-
tion foundation. Fast forward to today, and we have assets nearing $300,000. We have recent-ly been able to give scholarships to each gradu-ating senior who is furthering their education. We support the educational commitment of Lib-erty School District, with grants whenever possi-ble. We got to this position because of all of you and your generous support. Be proud and please continue to put Liberty Community Edu-cation Foundation on your list of worthy causes.

LIBERTY COMMUNITY EDUCATION FOUNDATION
2016 Liberty “Hop”
It’s our biggest and best fundraising event of the year! If you have never been to our annual dinner and
auction, put it on your calendar for next year. This is a night where our community can come together
and celebrate all Liberty has to offer. We raise money to support our academic foundation and also
support our graduates in their post-secondary education! What could be better than raising money to
help Liberty graduates as they make their way to successful futures? The 2016 Liberty Hop set rec-
ords. We raised $27,000 to help fulfill our mission to enrich education in our local community. Each
year our dinner/auction grows in attendance and revenue. We continue to grow each year because we
have outstanding supporters who care deeply about our fantastic school. Thank you to all who attend-
ed, donated items, and supported this night.
The 2016 Dinner and Auction was held on October 16, 2016.
The 2017, “Pride in Liberty,” tenth annual dinner auction, will be held on November 4, 2017 in the
