WHY BOTHER MAKING A WILL? MY FAMILY WILL GET EVERYTHING WHEN I DIE! WON'T THEY?

WRITING a Will may be something you've been thinking about for many years. The reasons for having a Will are many, but, if for no other reason, a Will makes life a lot easier for those you leave behind at a time of sorrow. If you die without a Will (Intestate), your family has to sort out many administrative items and are obliged to the decisions made by law as to who inherits what, decisions you should have really made by writing a Will.

AS to when you should write a Will, the answer is NOW. There may be plenty of life in you yet, but accidents and illness have absolutely no respect for age. Also, bear in mind that a modern Will is written in such a way that it shouldn't need much changing, so it's not something you have to think about often, but only in the event of a major change in circumstances, such as marriage, birth of a first child or divorce.

SO, why do many people put off the task of writing a Will?

EXCUSES: there are many excuses for putting off writing a Will. Here are the most common ones:

1. "WRITING A WILL IS TEMPTING FATE": One in three adults in Britain have already written a Will - so, if writing one has fatal results, the population would soon be reduced by 18 million people! In fact, the British annual death-rate is surprisingly stable and definitely bears no relation to the number of people who write Wills.

2. "I'VE GOT NOTHING TO LEAVE": Everybody leaves something. It may not be much, but, surely, that's even more reason to make sure it goes to those you care about? Also, it is not just making sure your worldly goods go to the right people. As mentioned, a Will can mean a lot less inconvenience for those left to sort things out.

3. "I JUST HAVEN'T GOT ROUND TO IT": This is normally because the job doesn't rate high enough on your list of priorities. If the roof leaks, no matter what you're doing or how tight your finances, you get it fixed fast! We can honestly say that the vast majority of clients feel great after we

MULTI-TALENTED vocalist will be entertaining at Goldenhill WMC on Saturday, September 8th.

Natalie has been singing professionally for eleven years on holiday parks and touring shows, as resident singer for resorts abroad

and a variety of hotels in Britain.

Her repertoire includes a range of songs from the '60s, '70s, '80s and up to the current era.

Natalie is also a dancer and children's entertainer and presenter.

SINGER, Stoney, will also have the audience in fits of laughter, when he appears at Goldenhill WMC on Saturday, September 29th.

Ray, who made the bold decision to go solo 14 years ago (after, according to him, starting life as an egg), received a comedy award from Salford and Manchester Command Show in 2002.

In 2006, he received an award from the

Lancashire Federation Command Show, and, in the same year, Preston and Guild Command Show bestowed another comedy accolade on him.

Incredibly-talented tribute band is back!!

FRIDAY, October 19th, sees the return of Europe's leading tribute band to legendary, Manchester group, Oasis, to Baddeley Green WMC - by BIG demand!

Since forming in 2004, Oasish has quickly become the most-sought-after tribute band in this country, because, not only does it feature members who have played the bigger stages with names, such as Robbie Williams, Pete Townsend (of The Who), Bryan Adams, Chesney Hawkes, Nik Kershaw and Jason Donovan.

Boasting a back-line which matches the same amps that Oasis use, Oasish also plays the same instruments; indeed, the 'Noel' uses either a Sunburst Gibson Les Paul, Cherry Red Gibson ES335 or the Union Jack Epiphone Supernova (the signature-guitar that Noel helped design, after appearing with one at the Maine Road show in Manchester during the the mid-'90s).

Also, these days, 'Liam' will be seen wearing the exact-same Pretty Green Parka that Liam Gallagher wore on the band's final tour, before it, sadly, split in August, 2009.

City pub's fund-raiserA CHARITY night, including an auction, held at The Bellringer, Eaton Park, Bucknall, helped to raise almost £2,000 in aid of research into brain tumours.

This event followed a golf day at Blythe Bridge Golf Club, with both fund-raisers being organised by local woman, Pam Lyons, in memory of her 56-years-old husband, Tom, who died last September, just months after being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

"The whole community have been brilliant, and they have really got behind the fund-raisers," said Pam, aged 56, adding: "We are grateful to The Bellringer pub, too."

Needless to say the question arises: how do you go about planning for the perfect 'Big Day'?

Many people would aver that it is sagacious to open a 'wedding account' with your bank to facilitate the auditing of costs (one sapient pointer is to remember that you should always budget for an over-spend of at least 10%).

You should think about numbers of guests and the type of service as soon as possible, so that you know what you are budgeting for.

Are you going to have the traditional, morning service with a luncheon for close family, to

be followed by a larger function during the evening, or do you prefer a late-afternoon service immediately moves on to the evening reception?

(The latter is the better bet, in terms of economy, since you will, then, have only one event to manage and pay for).

Naturally, a weekday wedding will also reduce costs, but many guests will also find this too restrictive.

A much more contentious - but increasingly-considered - suggestion is to invite guests to make a financial contribution to your 'Big Day' (possibly in lieu of the more conventional wedding-present).

Improving your fuel-consumptionDID you know that you can save hundreds of pounds on petrol each year by driving more sedately?

According to the Department for Transport, driving at 70mph uses up to 9% more fuel than at 60mph and up to 15% more than at 50mph (80mph can use up to 25% more than at 70mph).
