The Lexington Philharmonic’s MONUMENTAL 2015-2016 Season is distinguished by works that unite major orchestral forces, world class soloists, and expanded collaborations.
Our season opens and closes with two towers of the orchestral world. On Opening Night, we bring together powerful voices from four regional college choruses for Mahler’s epic Symphony No. 2 “Resurrection.” We close with four notes that changed the world, Beethoven’s magnum opus Symphony No. 5. These masterpieces bookend a MONUMENTAL season of programming that will leave no questions about the power of live orchestral music.
Full Series subscribers get the best price for their seating section for all concerts included in the package. Full Series subscribers from the prior season and donors get first choice seating and are guaranteed their same seats on a season-by-season basis.
