LEWISTON AUBURN COLLEGE STUDENT PROFILE REPORT FALL 2014

This report focuses on any USM student who enrolled in a course at USM’s Lewiston Auburn College Fall 2009

through Fall 2014. Any course with an Academic Org of USM Lewiston Auburn or a USMDept of Lewiston

Auburn is pulled for this summary report. The students are broken down in 3 different categories:

Non degree;

NonLAC matrics (matriculated in a degree program that is not LAC); and

LAC matrics.

In this report, you will find summaries by:

Headcount by category and major/plan (Pages 1-4);

Enrollments by the students’ category and major/plan (Pages 5-8);

Enrollments and course credit hours generated by category (Pages 9-10).

Enrollments and course credit hours generated by category and the course subjects (Pages 11-19); and

The final summaries are the Factbook sections for LAC matriculated students (Pages 20-21).

New this year, is the breakdown for LAC matrics and the subjects of the courses they are taking. Please note

the * regarding enrollments (butts in seats) in courses and how they are counted in the course subject summaries

section.

A FIRST LOOK AT LEWISTON AUBURN STUDENT PROFILE FALL 2014:

When looking at Headcounts:

55% of all students taking a course at LAC were non-LAC matrics.

51% of the non-LAC students taking a course at LAC were non-LAC matrics. Only 10% were non-degree.

At the non-LAC undergraduate level, 33% were GO students (conditionally admitted) and 16% were

Environmental Health & Life Science students.

For Fall 2014, there were no students in the non-LAC matric category at the graduate level.

When looking at Enrollments:

At the non-LAC undergraduate level, 30% were GO students (conditionally admitted), 19% were

Environmental Health & Life Science students, 19% were Undeclared students, and 10% were from Social

Sciences.

60% of all students enrolled in a course at LAC were matriculated in an LAC program.

36% of all students enrolled in a course at LAC were non-LAC matrics. Only 4% were non-degree.

For LAC undergraduate matrics: 33% of the course enrollments were in the SBS subject area, 24% were in the

LOS subject area and 15% were in the LCC subject area.

For LAC graduate matrics: 84% of the course enrollments were in the OTH subject area and 15% were in the

LOS subject area.

For nonLAC undergraduate matrics: 39% of the course enrollments were in the LAC subject area and 12%

were in the LOS subject area.

For non-degree undergraduate students: 24% of the course enrollments were in the SCI subject area and 13%

were in the LAC and LOS subject areas.

For non-degree graduate students: 71% of the course enrollments were in the LOS subject area.

When looking at Course Credit Hours:

66% of all course credit hours at LAC were generated by LAC matrics.

29% of all course credit hours at LAC were generated by non-LAC matrics. Only 5% were non-degree.

For LAC undergraduate matrics: 33% of the course credit hours were in the SBS subject area, 23% were in the

LOS subject area and 18% were in the LCC subject area.

For LAC graduate matrics: 85% of the course credit hours were in the OTH subject area and 14% were in the

LOS subject area.

For nonLAC undergraduate matrics: 36% of the course credit hours were in the LAC subject area and 12%

were in the LOS subject area.

For non-degree undergraduate students: 21% of the course credit hours were in the SCI subject area, 13% of

the course credit hours were in the LOS subject area, and 12% were in the LAC subject area.

For non-degree graduate students: 77% of the course credit hours were in the LOS subject area.

LEWISTON AUBURN OVERALL FALL 2014:

Lewiston Auburn College represents 5% of USM’s Total Degree-Seeking ¹Headcount and 5% of USM’s Total

Degree-Seeking Student Credit Hours generated for Fall 2014.

For Baccalaureate degree-seeking students, Social & Behavioral Science majors represent 47% of the students

and Leadership and Organizational Study majors represent 31% of the students.

For Master degree-seeking students, Occupational Therapy majors represent 72% of the students and

Leadership Studies majors represent 28% of the students.

For Baccalaureate degree-seeking students pursuing an LAC Minor, 56% were Early Childhood Studies

students and 26% were Public Health students.

For Baccalaureate conditionally admitted (GO) LAC students, 7 students were enrolled Fall 2014.
