To all dear Bon devotees, and all direct and indirect students of His Holiness the 33rd sMenri Trizin, the worldwide spiritual head of the Bonpos: In the last two months, Bonpos around the world have prayed and performed many rituals and ceremonies, especially the Long Life Prayer and Tse Nyen (Sanskrit, Long Life mantra), and have saved many lives, such as fishes, birds, and yaks and sheep from Tibet and many Himalayan regions. Hundreds of monasteries have made hundreds of thousands of Tsog offerings to Yidams, and Sidpa Gyalmo, and dedicated them for the long life of His Holiness. In addition to the rituals and ceremonies that His Holiness instructs them to perform, monks from sMenri Monastery are doing many rituals and ceremonies according to the direct instructions of His Eminenceinstructions of His Eminence Yongzin Rinpoche. A group of Geshes and Monks have been in retreat starting two days ago, and have been continuously performing the "Cham ma Tse Yi Jigkyob Ma," a particular manifestation of Cham Ma to protect His Holiness from any life threatening energy and to expand his life span. Because of all these blessings and outpouring of true prayer Because of all these blessings and outpouring of true prayer from every part of the Bonpo world, both in and out of Tibet as well as from the Bon centers in the Western world, His Holiness’s health is improving day by day. His Holiness is continuously doing daily prayers, is able to carry on a conversation, takes short walks every day, is eating well, and is taking his medication regularly. His facial complexion and color has returned to normal.complexion and color has returned to normal. I hope the information in this letter about His Holiness’ health and well-being these days will ease the concerns of all Bonpos worldwide. I am here at sMenri since my return from the USA in September, with the sole reason to serve His Holiness as needed. Perhaps I am not of much help, but at least it is more with the sole reason to serve His Holiness as needed. Perhaps I am not of much help, but at least it is more satisfactory to be around with His Holiness and to comfort him. I feel very fortunate to have been called back, and to be here with His Holiness at this time.

While all monks deserve credit for serving His Holiness and praying for his health, I should mention especially Geshe Samdup, Geshe Tsewang Namgyal, Geshe Azi and Sangye Negi. Each of these monks deserves great credit for their service to His Holiness with respect and love and care. So once again, thanks to all for praying for His Holiness’s long life and health. I request that you please continue your prayers and practice for His Holiness. His Holiness. This is also a great opportunity to accumulate great merit for our own selves too by doing so. Long Life PilgrimageThis is an epic adventure, and requires advance planning. We are working with a travel agency and wth Rinpoche to create a great trip.

What we know for sure:

* These events will be attended by many people from around the world, so advanced reservations are necessary.. * We are six months from this trip. But it takes time to arrange for passports, as well as visas for India and Nepal, and a PAP (Protected Area Permit) for Dolanji. We will provide information as to what you need and how you can get it. can get it. * We would like to have a committment from those who want to attend by October 20. We know that work andpersonal life can make a change, but we need a good idea of who wants to go.* Because of the size of our expected group, we have blocked rooms and we need to confirm with the hotels by October 25th, A deposit will be required to hold the rooms. We have rooms in Dehli, Solan, and Kathmandu * Each person will be responsible for making their own travel arrangements to arrive in Dehli and to leave from Kathmandu. from Kathmandu.* Several vans have been arranged with private drivers while we are in India and Nepal. * It is possible to attend only one of the two events if your time does not allow bnoth.
