January, 27 2015 Senator James Lankford B40C Dirksen Senate Office Building Washington, DC 20510 Dear Senator Lankford, I wanted you to be aware of a significant issue that is affecting the families of our military members who died in battle and buried in a foreign cemetery. I recently became aware of a significant policy change by the American Battle Monuments Commission (see the attached letters). Obviously people like you and I have very strong feelings about this; who understand the sacrifices that surviving families make for our country. Everyone in this country should as well. The flowers ordered through the ABMC have always been paid for by those who did the ordering. This costs the American tax payer nothing. Cutting this much needed program is nonsense. I request you look into this abominable example of bureaucratic insensitivity which sends a message to America’s military families, that when your loved dies in the line of duty and is buried elsewhere, we - America doesn't give a damn. That is the battlefield commission's current message. Sincerely,

Dear Senator Lankford,

I wanted you to be aware of a significant issue that is affecting the families of our military members who died in battle and buried in a foreign cemetery. I request you look into this abominable example of bureaucratic insensitivity which sends a message to Americas military families, that when your loved dies in the line of duty and is buried elsewhere, we - America doesn't give a damn. That is the battlefield commission's current message.

Sincerely,
