From August 2010 - May 2012, Mr. Deane was assigned from Olive Group to oversee and
manage the Safety Setup with Danish Demining Group in Az Zubayr Iraq. As Project
Manager he has been in charge over all Static Site Guarding and Armed Escorts/PSD for all
movement. The workforce under his command has been ranging between 50-100 staff.
Mr. Deane was required to undertake variety of professional responsibilities. One of the
most important for us has been the client cooperation. Where daily missions were to be
coordinated and executed as well as training of the guard force and cross training with
client.
Gifted with creativity and sharp wit, Mr. Deane has through his personality and extensive
network an excellent talent for interacting with anyone to solve duties entrusted him
He is constantly gathering intelligence to make the client feel confident and safe; he is
capable of doing things with speed. He has an analytical and pragmatic mind. He is active
and industrious and takes pride in delivering good service. As a person, Mr. Deane is
always well turned out. He has a sense of humour and easy manner.
Mr. Deane has worked with extreme dedication and accomplished the jobs perfectly well.
When DDG undertook an audit on the level of service provided by Olive Group on the
ground, he took it upon himself to address each point in the report, most importantly the
link between client and provider, and introduced training for the client to see what was
expected by them in a crisis situation, static or mobile.
I have no hesitation in recommending him to any potential employer. I am sure that he
will let his future assignments benefit from his talent and ability. I wish him every success
in his future endeavours.
