Letter of Recommendation for Diane Chamberlain My name is Maureen Boardman and I am a Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Assistant Professor of Community and Family Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and I have known Ms. Chamberlain for 10 years now. We initially met when I became a board member on the Community Preceptor Education Board for Dartmouth Medical School. This board is comprised of community clinicians across New Hampshire and Vermont who precept Dartmouth Medical Students, and Ms. Chamberlain was the Communication and Research Coordinator for the Office of Community-based Education and Research. Over the past ten years, I have attended bi-monthly meetings for this board and Ms. Chamberlain organized and coordinated these meetings. In this role she did everything from setting the agenda; ordering the food; acting as a timekeeper and keeping as well as disseminating the minutes of the meetings. The CPEB meetings have always been very efficient and highly organized meetings and Ms. Chamberlain has been an integral part of this organization Through my role on this board I also had the opportunity to work on the planning committee for several of the Dartmouth Annual Primary Care and Education Conferences, Ms. Chamberlain was also instrumental in organizing these annual conferences; finding a venue; contacting speakers; coordinating and scheduling the day’s activities. Two years ago the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, went through some significant restructuring and the Office of Community-based Education and Research was absorbed by the Office of Clinical Education and Ms. Chamberlain’s role at the Medical School also changed. However, she continued her work with the Community Preceptor Education Board and with her excellent interpersonal skills essentially became the glue that held us all together, during a time of great turmoil for the CPEB Board as well as the Office of Clinical Education. Ms. Chamberlain is resourceful and tenacious; she personally helped me find funding for the second year of a Medical School Educational Conference when the above mentioned restructuring led to a lack of resources to send me back. My name is Maureen Boardman and I am a Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Assistant Professor of Community and Family Medicine at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, and I have known Ms. Chamberlain for 10 years now. We initially met when I became a board member on the Community Preceptor Education Board for Dartmouth Medical School. Over the past ten years, I have attended bi-monthly meetings for this board and Ms. Chamberlain organized and coordinated these meetings. She also was an integral part in my promotion from Instructor to Clinical Assistant Professor when again the restructuring of the Medical School could have derailed that process. I have the utmost respect for her and her many abilities and feel she would be a wonderful asset to any organization.

Sincerely,

Maureen B. Boardman ARNP
