I mentored a Make A WIsh kid, Jordan born with neuroblastoma, and had the opportunity to design and construct a dress that would be auctioned to raise money to grant a wish that would be modeled by Jordan at the annual Make A Wish Gala held in Altoona, Iowa. This is the letter of recommendation from the Regional Make A Wish Director, Nan Boland.

To whom it may concern:
I’ve had the privilege to chair the Make A Wish Gala for many years. It’s one of Make A Wish’s largest fund raisers, raising money to grant wishes for children with life threatening illnesses. On April 6, 2013 we had Make A Wish’s 20th Annual “Gumdrop Gala”. We honored our wish kids by having a fashion show with the children as our models. In addition, we asked a couple of ISU students if they would help us out by designing a gown around a wish child. The goal was to make the wish child feel like a princess.
Lynn was assigned a wish child and was to communicate with her and her mom to get what was the child’s favorite color, style of dress, etc. Lynn was in communication with Jordan and her mom and specially designed a gown just for Jordan. Jordan loved her gown and was thrilled that Lynn gave it to her after the fashion show.
We were privileged to have Lynn on our Gala committee and the Gala was a huge success in part because of Lynn’s generosity! I would highly recommend Lynn!
