LETTER FROM THE PRINCIPAL Dear Families/Carers The Victorian Government has released its plan for easing coronavirus (COVID-19) restricons. School will connue to provide remote and flexible learning for the remainder of Term 3. 5 – 9 October (first week of Term 4) On-site supervision for children of permied workers and vulnerable students will connue to be provided consistent with exisng guidelines. From 12 October Students in Prep to Grade 2 return to full-me on-site schooling. The exisng remote learning program will not connue for these year levels. I will provide further informaon of the return to school arrangement next week. Remote and flexible learning will connue for all students in Grade 3 to Year 6 other than for children of permied workers and vulnerable students. A date for the return of these year levels to face-to-face learning will be subject to further health advice. Is your child spending too much me playing games on devices? There is no magic figure. The right amount of screen me can depend on a range of factors like your child’s age and maturity, the kind of content they are consuming, their learning needs and your family roune. It can be easy to focus only on the clock, but the quality and nature of what they are doing online, and your involvement, are just as important. Consider your child’s screen use in the context of their overall health and wellbeing. For example, is online me geng in the way of their sleep and exercise? Is it impacng on their face-to-face connecons with family? The answers to these quesons will guide you and help strike the right balance of online and offline acvies for your child. Help your child manage their online me: Keep an eye on the games, apps and devices your child uses. Chat with your child regularly and help them stay aware of how much me they are spending on different online and offline acvies. Include posive things outside the online world in your conversaons, such as what they love in life, careers they are interested in and new hobbies. Join in. Play games together as a family, or explore some joint online projects. Rather than being just a solitary acvity, online me can then become another way of strengthening connecons as well as building social skills. Hope these are helpful. MÜDÜRDEN MEKTUP Sayın Veli, Viktorya Hükümeti, koronavirüs (COVID-19) kısıtlamalarını hafifletme planını açıkladı. Okul, 3. Dönem'in geri kalan süresinde uzaktan ve esnek öğrenim sağlamaya devam edecek. 5 – 9 Ekim (Term 4.Dönemin ilk haftası) çalışma izin verilen işçilerin çocukları ve savunmasız öğrenciler için yerinde denetim, mevcut yönergelere uygun olarak sağlanmaya devam edecektir. 12 Ekim’den İtibaren Hazırlık sınıflarından 2. Sınıfa kadar olan öğrenciler tam zamanlı olarak okula dönecekler. Mevcut olan uzaktan eğitim programı bu yıl seviyeleri için devam etmeyecektir. Önümüzdeki hafta, okula dönüş düzenlemesi hakkında daha fazla bilgi vereceğim. Uzaktan ve esnek öğrenme, çalışmasına izin verilen işçilerin çocukları ve savunmasız öğrenciler dışında 3. ve 6. sınıfllar arasındaki tüm öğrenciler devam edecektir. Bunun için mucize bir formül yoktur. Doğru ekran süresi miktarı, çocuğunuzun yaşı ve olgunluğu, kullandığı içeriğin türü, öğrenme ihtiyaçları ve aile rutini gibi bir dizi faktöre bağlı olabilir.
