November  2012    Dear  mission  partners,    As  we  enter  November,  COCM  Gospel  Team   is  moving   into   the   final   stretch  of   its  welcoming  new  students  outreach  ministry.   In   the   past   3  months,   the   Team   travelled   to   15   cities   and   completed   15   student   gospel  events,  partnering  with   local  churches  and  student  fellowships   in  the  UK  and  Southern  France  including  Col-­‐chester,  Norwich,  Northampton,  Montpellier,  Marseille,  Dundee,  Glasgow,  Manchester,  Sunderland,  Swansea,  Exeter,   Lancaster,  York,  Hull,  and  Bradford.  Regardless  of   the  challenges  and  obstacles  we  encountered   this  year,  we  have  reached  out  to  approximately  800  Chinese  students  and  more  than  150  students  were  willing  to  respond  to  the   love  of  Christ.  Many  others  were   interested  in  knowing  more  about  this  faith.  May  the  new-­‐found  faith  of  these  students  be  strengthened  in  Christ  and  may  God  help  the  local  churches  and  fellowships  to  follow  up  the  needs  of  them.  We  are  also  thankful  that  more  than  50  young  people  coming  from  churches  and  fellowships  in  different  parts  of  the  UK  and  the  world  joined  our  team  this  year  as  volunteers.  They  were  not  only  amazed  and  inspired  by  the  work  of  God,  but  also  enjoyed  serving  together  as  a  team.  We  are  now  preparing   for   the   last  3  events  planned   in   Leicester,   Luton  and  Guildford.  May  God  continue   to  bless   these  events  with  His  grace  and  power.    Elsewhere  in  Europe,  Chinese  churches  and  para-­‐church  organisations  are  all  challenged  with  this  overwhelm-­‐ing  mission  opportunities  to  reach  out  to  the  Chinese  students,  new  immigrants,  as  well  as  the  2nd  generation  growing  up  in  Europe.  On  8-­‐11  October,  COCM  along  with  CCCOWE,  Herald  Crusaders,  and  the  Chinese  Chris-­‐tian   Church   in   Spain   organized   the   10th   Europe   Pastoral   Consultation   in   Barcelona.   About   280   pastors   and  church  leaders  gathered  together  and  the  theme  of  this  year  is  “Challenges  of  such  time  as  this”.  It  was  a  good  platform  for  us  to  share  the  gospel  needs  in  Europe  and  how  we  can  strategize  to  reach  the  Chinese  as  well  as  the  local  Europeans.      This  is  an  important  election  time  in  many  part  of  the  world.  The  citizens  in  the  United  States  are  choosing  a  new  president.  The  results  will  affect  the  direction  of  the  world’s  strongest  economy  for  many  years  to  come.  Meanwhile,  people  in  Ukraine  has  just  made  an  important  decision  in  maintaining  the  current  leader  for  the  next  3  years  to  lead  this  developing  country  affected  by  years  of  political  turmoil.  Later  on  this  month,  China  will   also  have  her  once  every   ten  years   leadership   change.  This  will  have  been   the   third  peaceful   transition  under  the  communist  regime  since  1949.  All  the  eyes  of  the  world  are  focusing  upon  the  potential  new  leaders  and   some   say   this   generation   of   new   leadership  must   do   something   radical   to  maintain   China’s   economic  growth  and  political  stability.    The  people  of  the  world  are  always  looking  for  some  one  or  some  organization  to  lead  them  for  a  better  life  and  prosperity.  But  we  know  it  is  impossible  for  us  to  find  a  perfect  leader  or  government  on  this  earth.  As  the  citizens  of  the  everlasting  Kingdom,  we  know  that  only  Jesus  is  this  perfect  leader  in  our  lives.      COCM   workers   are   now   actively   preparing   for   our   Christmas   and   Year-­‐end   conferences   (please   click  cocm.org.uk  for  further  information).  This  year,  the  theme  will  be  “Only  Jesus”.  It  is  a  reminder  for  all  that  only  Jesus  can  satisfy  all  our  desires.  He  is  the  Savior  of  the  world  (John  4:42).      Serving  together  in  Christ,                                                                                                                                                Rev.  Henry  Lu                                                                                                                                                                                                      General  Director  

   二零一二年十一月    親愛的宣教夥伴們，            轉眼我們已經進入到十一月，COCM 的佈道隊事工也進入了最後一個階段的衝刺。在過去的三個月中，佈道隊前往位於英國各地和法國南部的 15 個城市，包括高徹斯特（Colchester）、諾里奇（Norwich）、北安普敦（Northampton）、馬賽（Marseille）、蒙彼利埃（Montpellier）、鄧迪（Dundee）、格拉斯哥（Glasgow）、曼徹斯特（Manchester）、桑德蘭（Sunderland）、史雲斯（Swansea）、艾克塞特（Exeter）、蘭卡斯特（Lancaster）、約克（York）、豪城（Hull）和布拉德福德（Bradford），與當地的教會和團契合作一共舉辦了 15 場旨在歡迎新學生的佈道會。儘管過程中遇到很多挑戰和困難，但是我們還是通過佈道會接觸到了大約 800 位中國學生，其中有超過 150 位學生願意舉手回應呼召，還有很多人願意更多認識信仰。願這福音的種子能在這些學生的心中生根發芽，也願神賜力量給各地的教會和團契來做跟進的工作。我們也很感恩，看到超過

50 位來自各地的教會和團契年輕人參與到佈道隊的事工中，他們不僅因著看見神的作為而深受鼓舞，也在過程中享受主內同工的喜悅。我們現在正在全力以赴準備在理斯特（Leicester）、盧頓（Luton）和喬福（Guildford）即將舉行的最後三場佈道會，願神繼續祝福我們的佈道隊，在其中更多彰顯祂自己的恩典與權能。          在歐洲的其他地方，福音的需要也是隨處可見。華人教會和宣教機構面對大量湧入歐洲的中國大陸留學生，不斷增長的歐洲華人新移民，以及在歐洲各地成長起來的華裔第二代這三個群體，也

面臨前所未有的福音機遇和巨大挑戰。十月八日至十一日，由 COCM、華福（CCCOWE）、角聲使團和西班牙華人教會聯合主辦的第十屆全歐華人教牧暨教會領袖研討會在西班牙的巴塞隆納舉行。

大約有 280 位來自歐洲各地的牧師和教會領袖參與，今年大會的主題是“時機與挑戰”，這樣的大會讓我們每個參與的教牧同工能一同分享歐洲各處福音的需要，也能共同制定宣教的策略，來更好地

向各地華人甚至是歐洲本土人士傳福音。          今年對世界上的很多國家來說都是重要的選舉年。美國大選正在如火如荼地展開，大選的結果必定會在未來的幾年中影響這個世界經濟強國的走勢。與此同時，烏克蘭的選民也已經決定要在未

來三年中繼續維持現有的領導階層，並帶領這個在政治上屢經風浪的國家。而在這個月，中國也將

迎來十年一次的領導階層更替，這也將是自 1949 年建國以來第三次領導階層的平穩過渡。新一屆的領導人呼之欲出，萬眾矚目。一些中國人這樣評論道，新一屆的領導人必須要進行一些大的改變，

這樣才能繼續保持中國在經濟上的增長和政治上的穩定。          地上的人們都祈望倚靠某個領袖或是某屆政府，幫助他們實現美好生活的願望。但在現實中，要在地上找到一個完美的領袖或是完美的政府，如同海市蜃樓，可望而不可及。我們這些天國的子

民卻深知道，惟有耶穌才是我們每個人生命中那位毫無瑕疵的君王。          現在，COCM 的同工們已經開始預備在聖誕和新年期間要舉辦的兩個營會，此次營會的主題定為“非祢莫屬”（想要了解更多詳細情況，請登陸 cocm.org.uk）。這個主題對我們所有人來說都是一個很好的提醒，因為我們的一切都屬於耶穌，也惟有耶穌能成為我們心靈的滿足。因為他真是世
