424 JOURNAL OF THE AMERICAN MUSICOLOGICAL SOCIETY
To the Editor of the JOURNAL
IN MY ARTICLE about John Coltrane in the fall issue of this JOURNAL, there are two errors that I would like to correct. (i) At the top of page 599 and bottom of page 605, the text should refer to c', not c. (2) The third and fourth sentences of the last paragraph on page 602 should be rewritten as follows: "In the studio version, the concluding ostinato of Part I moves down to El, the music stops, then Part 2 begins. In the concert tape, Part 2 begins without a pause after the descent to El."
