• If we can than shouldn’t we also know

• Where did they came from

• Where were they born

Captain Vikram Batra PVC (September 9, 1974 – July 7, 1999)

Officers, 13 JAK

•Posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra, on 15 August 1999

•Born on 09 September 1974 at Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.

•Received his education in Palampur.

•Nick name : Luv, but his true nick name “SHER SHAH” was given by army

•After passing out from IMA in December 1997, he joined the army as a Lieutenant of the 13 JAK Rifles at Sopore, Jammu & Kashmir

•During Kargil Conflict Captain Vikram Batra, 13 JAK Rifles, and his Delta Company was given the task of recapturing Point 5140

Captain Vikram Batra PVC (September 9, 1974 – July 7, 1999)

Officers, 13 JAK

•Upon reaching Point 5140, he got into a cheeky radio exchange with an enemy commander, who challenged him by saying, "Why have you come Sher Shah .You will not go back.”

•Captain Vikram Batra is said to have replied, "We shall see within one hour, who remains on the top.“

•Captain Batra's Yeh Dil Maange More!

•Either I will come back after hoisting the Indian flag, or I will come back wrapped in it, but I will be back for sure

•Point 4875 where he lost his life has now been renamed as Captain Vikram Batra Top

•HE WAS just 25 years old

Captain Vijayant Thapar, VrC, 2 Raj(1977 – 1999)

•Captain Vijayant Thapar was born in 1977

•Studied at the prestigious Army Public School, DhaulaKuan, New Delhi (1993 batch).

•Favorite toys were guns

•Among his family and unit members he is better known as Robin

•Captain Vijayant after getting commissioned on 12 December 1998 joined the 2 Rajputana Rifles at Gwalior

•His battalion was given the task of capturing Tololing

•Nearly 1.5 Lac people were present during his last rites

•Capt Vijayant was 22 when he laid down his life for our better tomorrow

HEROESSometime before the final assault Capt. Vijayant Thapar (Robin) left this letter at the from the attack area, to be handed over to his family in case he failed to return.
