But the man chose to follow Jesus. Being a disciple of Jesus is a choice. The stewardship way of life likewise involves a choice, in fact many choices. We choose to be grateful, we choose to live generously, and we choose to trust that God will always provide for our needs. These are three choices central to the stewardship way of life. What choices will we make this week that give witness to our decision to follow Jesus Christ? SECOND COLLECTION—Saturday, October 27, 2018 and Sunday, October 28, 2018. Your donation will benefit the Seminary Burse Fund in support of the seminarians from the Diocese of Lubbock. This collection benefits our seminarians’ tuition, room and board, books and everything else that goes into a solid, albeit costly, formation program. These men - with God’s grace - will be our future priests. Please give generously.

PRIESTHOOD SUNDAY- October 28, 2018 is designated as Priesthood Sunday, a one-day celebration of the priesthood, calling all U.S. Catholics to show support for their priests with prayer and cards. Thank you Father Joy for being our priest at San Ramon Catholic Church and St. Francis Catholic Church. There will be cards in the Narthex for you to sign to show your appreciation. THANK YOU FR. NEW ALTAR SERVERS TRAINING—Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 10:00 a.m.—12:00 p.m. in the church. New altar servers should have already received their First Holy Communion and be a student in the 5th—12th grade.

KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS COAT FOR KIDS PROJECTS —during the month of October, the KC members will be collecting donations to purchase 4 cases of coats for youth and teens. The case of coats (12 count) for the youth costs $250.00 a case and the case for the teens cost $290.00. Please consider making a donation to help keep the kids warm during the winter season. WOMEN’S RETREAT will be on Saturday, November 10, 9:00-3:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Registration fee is $10.00 and includes lunch. THEME: FINDING INNER PEACE” We are so excited about this retreat because we have two outstanding speakers, Sheri Wohlfert and Adela Britto, who will be sharing with us the worries and fears that we struggle with and finding peace through all this. Ladies of the parish are invited. Please register early.

TEAM MARY ANNUAL RAFFLE—Each Saturday after Mass through Sunday, November 18, 2018. Great prizes! Tickets will be $2.00 each. Proceeds will benefit the Women’s Retreat, Our Lady of Guadalupe Celebration and provide meals for the Youth Group. Please support our fundraiser.
