Ghusl literally means to wash oneself.It is washing of the whole body in a

particular way.

• Remove all obstructions.• Do Niyya, you should know which ghusl

you are doing.

1. It is wajib to pour water over your head down to the neck.

2. It is mustahab to run your fingers through your hair.

1. It is wajib to pour water over the rest of your body from the shoulder to the feet .

2. Right side first, followed by left side.3. It is mustahab to wipe over the body with

your hands.4. It is mustahab when washing the right side

some parts of the left side must be washed too.

Bath involving immersion of the whole body.

HOW TO DO GHUSL IRTIMASI

• It can be done in a pool, river, sea.• After niyya, the whole body should be

completely immersed in the water all at once.• Water must reach all parts of the body

including the scalp.
