Assalamualaikum ICN Al-Falah Academy Teachers,

We pray that everyone is well and enjoying his/her summer inshAllah. With the advent of our blessed month, Ramadan, we hope that included in your prayers are thoughts about how to support our community and its members, specifically its youngest Muslims.

Upon death, mans deeds will stop except for three deeds, namely: a continuous charitable fund, endowment or goodwill; knowledge left for people to benefit from; and a pious righteous and God-fearing child who continuously prays to Allah, for the souls of his parents (Muslim).

Each year ICN Al-Falah Academy Alhamdulillah aims to and succeeds in bringing its staff and students closer to truly LOVING, LIVING AND LEARNING ISLAM. The Shura, the Board and the Staff have made great strides in implementing programs and activities to help support, engage and energize our parents, teachers and students. This year as in previous years inshAllah, we hope to further strengthen our school but from the bottom up. Let us begin again, inshAllah, with our individual classrooms, specifically our teachers and students. It is ultimately all of you, the teachers, who will role model, inspire and engage our young Muslims.

Alfred Mercier, a French-American lawyer, physician and novelist, once wrote, "What we learn with pleasure we never forget."

This letter signifies the beginning of our hopes to inshAllah help all of you, our teachers, build manageable classroom communities and develop creative and engaging activities to ultimately indirectly or directly help our students LOVE, LIVE AND LEARN ISLAM.

Attached you will find a document outlining how to prepare yourself for the upcoming 2015-2016 school year and how to build upon your teaching skill set inshAllah. Your lesson plan(s) are due July 31st, 2015 iA to your team lead (listed on attached outline) and a chart (examples/directions) are also attached. Furthermore, a MANDATORY teacher training meeting is scheduled on Saturday, August 30th iA from 9:30-11am for new teachers and 11-12pm for our entire staff at ICN Ogden.
